Shiadhal's Armor: Worth it?
Is the shiadhal's armor worth buying early game?

No, you can do the Troll Trouble side quest (do not kill the troll) and if you return the she-troll's head you get the diagram for Hunter's armor. To get the she-troll head, complete the Dice Poker side quest for Flotsam. Hunter's armor has good resistance to bleeding, poisoning, and incineration, and has slightly higher damage reduction than Shiadhal's armor. Three rune slots, so if you have the diagram for Diamond armor enhancement and the necessary parts, you can upgrade damage reduction to 16.
