How do kills from killstreaks effect next killstreak reward?
I'm confused about what the rules are for whether or not kills gained from a killstreak reward count toward your next killstreak reward. I know that kills gained from care packages don't count, but I've noticed that sometimes kills from dogs or hinds will win me another killstreak reward, while other times they won't. I also notice that the killstreak "counter" (hashmarks) aren't effected by kills from dogs or other killstreak rewards, but on many occasions my dog has gotten a kill, and that kill earns me a turret.

What are the rules in this regard?

The killstreak you get in your current life wil forward to earn your next killstreak. Like you wrote, You killed 5 got a dog and if the dog kills you 2 people without you dying ofc, you will get the turret, and if your next streak is Hind, so if either dog or turrets kills for you you will earn Hind next. But it has to be on the current life, means that if you kill 5 got a dog and you die. the dog you call now won't earn you any killstreak.

Okay -- so the key is that the kills from your killstread rewards only count toward another killstreak if you're still in the life where you EARNED them, correct? In other words, it's not about when you "deploy" them -- it's about when you "earn" them. If I earn a dog and a turret, then get killed, then deploy them when I respawn, they won't count toward my next reward, right?

Thanks for your help here.
