I don't see a problem here.
If only that was the case.. The thing is, the two scenes are not even remotely releated.. They have nothing to do with eachother.. but that the guy is wounded.. and he gets dragged away.. The exact same way.... EXACT same way...!
AC series used the same animations since the second until revelations, and I never saw any big issue about that in ubisoft forum, I understand what you are saying, but was programmer myself, i also understand IW, it could be done by not being so obvious? Yes, sure, but are you really expecting that people will do such a big issue from it, when is just a 15 sec animation in 6 hour campaing?
The game is not even 4 hours.... Earning a billion dollars on this game (they knew it was a success before launch), and they did not care to invest in this animaton.. It is not like the game itself is revolutionising the genre so at least make something original. That is why people can live with Battlefield having prettylame campaigns, because the multiplayer is so forward thinking. COD: Ghost is neither, and that is the reason, people cannot accept laziness in the mix.
Well tbh, i dont even compare Dice with IW, why? Dice BF sold less than Cod and they still builted a new improved engine, improved the campaing a little and added a few things here & there.
IW since they lost their masterminds (the ones who created CoD), have been losing what made CoD a great experience, they cant keep up the pace, even treyarch now is doing a better job.
But i must say (my own opinion) that all this hate is a little nosense, we all know by now what to expect from cod, buy it expecting a new game is almost foolish was hating all over the internet without had bought the game.
People have the right to complain, but most threads are not complains, just pure hate, just like the bf forum against bf4, its been like this in the past years, and i think it will continue some more until they find other thing to hate.
Not everyone does though, that's the problem. In fact, it's a bit naive to think that since there are plenty of people who only look at the price tag and think it's good, or see that it's a long lasting series and thinks it's good, or some just go with the flow because "everyone" is getting it, or don't even know what it takes for a game to be good.
Flashy commercials and a proven formula is usually what makes a game money for the most part. Espcially when it holds your hand.
I know you right and im not saying that is a good thing, but we all have to agreed that since IW fall a part, CoD lost most of the quality that prior versions had brought (specially MW, since it was in modern times), now besides some good fights and multi mods, its almost the same game every year.
And tbh, im expecting to see Titanfall, and hope that this time, money dont create any issue betwen them, bc we all have beneficts from that.
Edit: I see most people make hard critics to IW, but we all know Activision, and what happened with MW2 should had make people think that IW doesnt have any room to manuver, even if they had good ideas to implement in the game, i really dont believe that Activision will allow that (Like the Act CEO said "People like what they already know), i think this say a lot about their perspective in relation to CoD future.
Cringe.
What's being debated is HOW the assets were reused. The scene layout and direction were reused on a virtual 1:1 ratio...that is lazy. And regardless of how it is defended, it remains objectively shameful.
But hey, keep making these guys (especially Kotick) more and more rich, meanwhile they regurgitate more of the same thing. Forget gameplay and design, they are now giving you the same cutscene performances!
What's next? Do they literally (and I really mean literally) have to give you the exact same game but lie to your face and call it Ghosts 2 for some of you people to finally get it?
People that are making this into something are clueless about game development on a schedule. Name any AAA game series with multiple entries and you just named a game that recycled something from previous installments. Be it models, textures, animations, or anything else.
The problem is, if this is the general attitude, you can buy Call of Duty: Ghost 1,1 next year, with 2 new models and 5 extra dlcs to purchase...
