FPS drops insanely when zoomed in a sniepr scope!

So been playing the game, and I have to say, I'm enjoying it. But finally got my second soldier unlocked, chose marskmen...and now whenever i zoom in with my sniper, especially long distance my frame rate will go from 100-110 to 40 and sometimes even in the 30's. Which makes a stutter due to such a huge frame drop, so it makes it impossible to snipe anyone.

Anyone else having this issue, know a fix?

how do you monitor your fps ?
I use EVGA precision, but it does not report anything...

FRAPS, and yea its really annoying, I hope they fix this, because I mainly only snipe in COD games and this makes it impossible.

i have fps drop when i use lowest graphics, and fps about 45.

Yup, same issue, even in SP. I had to turn down all settings despite running A quadcore at 4.3Ghz and a Geforce Titan and 32Gb ram. For this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ looking game(new engine my ass!) it should run like butter on a 3 year old system easily. Also getting CTD which is insane for an anual iteration game like this. I was hoping it would be as good, but different than BF4, but it's just a steaming pile.

Yea, I also find it kind of funny considering I can play battlefield 4 pretty much maxed out with out any issues, yet this game...which let's be honest is NOT as graphics intense is lagging up for me whenever I try to zoom in, in to a snipers scope. So stupid.

i am having same issues, lag spikes, not utilizing ram properly, fps drops constantly, looks pretty when maxed but runs like ♥♥♥♥. at least dice is working around the clock to fix their bugs. activision/infinity ward, you need to get your ♥♥♥♥ together.

Turn down DOF if you're havin gissues inscope mode

It's because of a new technology implemented in the "new" engine. WHen you're looking through a sniper scope (specifically), before you might have noticed you lacked peripheral vision. Now, the game is rendering the view in fron of you twice; once in your peripheral vision (DOF is what makes it blurry) and once inside the scope. That's why the framerate drops; your GPU is suddenly rendering the world twice.

Stoned, I figured as much that, that was the issue, but I'm sorry if it makes my gaming experience unplayable then the feature is pointless. I mean, I have a system that can max out crysis 3 or battlefield 4 and run at 60+ fps, yet this game it drops to 30's when i zoom in? I mean that is just stupid, don't you think?

Maybe. But in MP, why not just lower your graphics settings? I personally couldn't care less how good a game looks in MP. If you lower the settings, you'll get optimal framerate, which in competitive play, is far more important than any special FX.

I get 100+ on average if I don't use a sniper. That's plenty, it should NOT be taking a 60-70% hit when I click zoom in, that is just poor optimization.

As I have stated in another thread, it has only been 13 hours since release. You have to give them more time. I have faith that a fix will be coming. Just not immediately.

I hope so too, honestly this is the best COD game they relesed, so I'm really hoping they actually upkeep it this time. Also, does anyone else have the issue of people's body animations are just incredibly laggy for you, and it makes it REALLY hard to hit them from long range sniper due to their body animations such as turning ect, is just not fluid and rather laggy.
