0xc000007b application error for iw6mp64_ship.exe

Hey guys. Got the game installed (Both MP and SP) and nothing is launching at all. Not getting a Steam Error or anything.

When I click on MP, my border on my steam profile turns to green for about 5 seconds and then back to blue.

When I went into the folder for Ghosts, I ran iw6mp64_ship.exe and got the 0xc000007b error.

I have tried all the Visual C++ and .NET reinstalls and they have done nothing. Verified 5 times and still nothing.

I am WELL within the specs for this game:
Intel Core i3-2100 3.1GHz
8GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 6670
running Windows 8 Pro 64-bit. (Not 8.1)

I tweeted at Activision support, but haven't got anything back from them.

Hi Satoru, I appreciate that but I've checked and it's greater than a GTS 480. I also ran DXDiag and it shows that I'm runing DirectX 11. I did check. :(

No a GTX2xx is not DX11 compatible. Ergo the game will not run. DXdiag shows that DX11 is installed on the system. Not that the card itself is DX11 compatible.

Right the game is working for me now. This is what I did to fix it.

Before doing anything, backup the Jun2010 folder (So you will have "Jun2010" and "Jun2010 - Copy"). Go into the Jun2010 folder.

Extract the .cab files, highlight the .dll's from that and copy them into system32 AND SysWOW64.

Delete the folder and rename your "Jun2010 - Copy" to "Jun2010". Go into the folder and run DXSETUP.exe, install and run the game.

I just hope the rest of you have the same luck as me!

Hi, I installed Call of Duty Ghost. But when i try to start it it says "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application."

I dont understand what is the problem? Is there any solution?

Is the problem because of the AMD processor?

tahzeeb_n, Did you try the fix on "PC Gaming Wiki". If not, Search on Google "PCGW Call of Duty Ghosts". There is full instructions on how to fix the 0xc000007b error. :)
