Don't meet the min requirements? Look here!
If you have 4GB of ram yet you pre-ordered/brought this game, You are out of luck because the game NEEDS 6GB physical RAM to even launch... This could allow those who pre-ordered/brought the game who only have 4GB RAM to get a Refund.

Reason to why? I'll tell you.

It might state you need 6GB ram in the specs but there is/was no warning about needing the 6GB RAM to even launch the game...

So if you want a refund, Submit a ticket to Support and see if you can get said refund back... If not and you live out of the US, Try and take it up with your local firm which handles stuff like this.

EDIT: Link to Support https://support.steampowered.com/newticket.php

EDIT2: Not having enough RAM should not stop you from launching the game in any form at all, That and without any warning about it being unlaunchable without 6GB RAM opens you to a Refund under some sort of clause.

EDIT3: Every account used to have a one-off refund... Well, Used to...

EDIT4: There should have been an Advanced Notice like this http://i.imgur.com/9uvOuz3.png

EDIT5: No game has ever been hardlocked just because you slightly fall below the specs.

EDIT6:
These are my Specs:
Windows 8 64-bit
Intel i7-3770
16GB RAM
GeForce GTX 660
2TB HDD

Yet I am here only to help those in need...

EDIT7: There's Minimum and then there's Absolute Minimum... The specs shown are Minimum and NOT Absolute Minimum...

EDIT8: Absolute minimum of RAM this game needs is 2-3GB, Not 6GB.

Seems a bit of a crazy choice by activision excluding anyone who has a 32 bit operating system.

Pretty sure i saw couple posts saying there was an update that fixed the issue...but can't find it with the 200+ threads per min of people raging lol.

But in this case it is like that, people with less than 6GB RAM can run this game if Activision would allow them to start it.

Just because other games run if your machine is under the minimum requirements doesn't mean all games will run. Would you like it more if every game did the same thing, failed to launch if you were under the minimum requirements?

That is the risk you take when you purchase a game and your rig does not meet the minimum requirements. It may not be playable, period. Would it be any different if the game did launch but it was completely unplayable? What if it was impossible to get over 5 FPS? Would you be happy?

I just looked on the egg and found a 4GB x2 DDR3 set for $60. I am sure they could be found used for less. I don't understand how people can afford a $60 game at launch but not see the value in upgrading ram past 4GB. Adding more than 4GB of ram to a system is a HUGE upgrade. The cost per your enjoyment of how much better your system would run would be mind-blowing, especially any OS after XP... vista lol

With the game being almost 50GB and still having garbage graphics and mediocre sound it just shows that they put absolutely zero effort into compressing and optimizing the game. It wouldn't surprise me if they outsourced pretty much half of the game development cycle seeing how much of a technical mess it really is.

But that's not the case. If you don't know what's going on here don't say anything at all.

There is a fix that let's people without 6GB RAM play this game, and it works great. This game only uses 1-2GB RAM and even on higher Details it only goes to like 5GB RAM (this hasn't been confirmed yet).

Trust me... at this point it really wouldn't surprise me either. Heh maybe they're getting some of the people at Blizzard to work on it.

System Requirements aren't really trustworthy. It gives a general idea of what the game requires, based on whatever hardware configurations they tested it on.

I've never seen a game that won't even launch unless you have the stated amount of RAM. It should run, though at low FPS and stuttering (which would make it unplayable, but that's a different matter).

It's still there for a fail safe, in otherswords you can't blame them as they told you how much they wanted.

Yeah, it basically covers their asses. But the question remains, why the game won't even LAUNCH without the minimum required RAM, when virtually every other game can do that?

Smells like shoddy console port.

I understand that there a fix and the game does run with less than 4GB.

There must be a reason why they enforced it. Do you think they want to sell less copies? I do agree that it is idiotic on their part to do this if the game does in fact run well with less than 4GB. How well does it run with 2GB. FPS?

I prefer to see that my computer can't handle a game than a game that doesn't allow you to even launch it, it's funny, because i have a 3770K and a GTX680, one of my memory sticks just gave up, i already ordered one but it will be coming next week, all my games are playing like before, without a change :-)

So why a game that uses an Engine that is from 2007 would not launch?

And for the people saying that the game would not be running well on 4 Gigs, i'll be laughing so hard when a good fix comes out, i'll do a video with 8 and then with 4 gigs in my rig, and i'm 200% sure my FPS will not change more than 1%.

I just saw that stealth edit Jonesy, Is there anyway you can add a notice about needing 6GB to launch the game on the Store Page?
