You don't have to answer the guy, he's one-track mind.
Stop trying to make split screen PC gaming happen. It's not going to happen for a looooooooong time...
Mate... my pc cost about £500 bought it a year ago... it plays Battlefield 4 at medium settings 60fps... Unreal Tournament 3 (4 player split-screen) Full 60'fps no problems atall! we play it all the time even with all the custom maps
HAHAH, Really... heres a list of about 200 currently, just Steam Store games that have Local Multiplayer (Couch Multiplayer) http://steamcommunity.com/groups/LocalMPG
I've been playing split screen on pc since the 90's my first 4 player split-screen game was Rollcage released in 1999, yes we all shared the keyboard back in those days lol but its not the case anymore with native 360 controller support or xpadder if u have un native gamepad games.
how is steam OS steam Bigpicture a gimmick? lol its just how the majority see it right now because its a free piece of software, once steam machines are being retailed to the masses more, u cant just say to those people that buy one, its a gimmick box, what does that make consoles? all consoles are just limited OS's with a TV friendly Interface. Furthermore u can keep all your games in the same library on steam for life! i dont call that a gimmick, thats organization, unionization! Steam is trying to create a utopian gaming platform for alll types of gamers to enjoy, besides most people i know are really dissapointed in the "next gen" consoles, theres only so much you can do to make the perfect living room media interface, it really makes no difference, you should use BigPicture more, steammusic coming soon, steam in-home streaming is cool too, soon you'll be able to log into multiple steam accounts simultaneously/locally just like on consoles.
Ok so how do you think Consoles handle split-screen, do you think they have some magic module inside that makes it twice as powerful ha! No its got PC hardware inside, its old hardware, both PS4 and XBOX one have amd cards i think in the HD7800 series, this is such an invalid argument., You cant just generalize all PC users because not everyone plays COD Ghosts, and those that do play COD ghosts are gonna have a similar if not equal spec to current console specs so i dont see the point in removing split-screen.
But if you want the power and graphics of your PC, but play split screen with your friend... Yeah, I'm bringing this conversation back alive again! :)
