32 what? bit? welcome in the yeah 2013. 32 players? Play BF4, because cod maps are build for 8-16 players max.

If you have a 32Bit computer , i doubt you got the specs to run it anyways , 64bit is the future , where in 2013 , not the 90's

Beyond some of the efficiencies gained from 64 Bit software, the #1 most in your face reason why 64 BIT is required is because this game reportedly requires 6 Gigs of Ram. 32 Bit Windows only recognizes 4 GB.
Cephalopod Nov 2, 2013 @ 2:55pm
64 bits is "standard" for "gamers".... man, activision or IW can do it, that you can't run the game on a 32 bits machine... I don't know if 32 bits really NOT supported.. but yeah.... 64 bits is, like I said, totally normal for gamers.

The game needs at least 6GB RAM... aaaaaand.... 32 bits can't handle more than 4 GB... where is a math genius when you need one? :D
the game needs 64bit to run because the game needs 6gb to run and 32bit doesnt like to run over 4gb

Time to upgrade, I haven't used 32bit for like 3 builds.

32bit max ram supported 4gig of ram 64 bit over 4 gig of ram supported this game wants 6gig of ram

...I think this guy is talking about 32 players in-game? I haven't seen anyone complain about a game not being 32bit compatible....

32 bit. Bull*hit about upgrade, cause all other games works just fine, why CoD Ghosts can't? Especially when it's old engine, the one that perfectly supports 32. Bad attitude to customers.

yeahhhh dude....developers are actually starting to go towards a new hardware jump / limit because console development is taking a step forward with the PS4 and Xbone which are BOTH x64 systems. when you compare the userbase between x32 and x64 users, it's a big difference! (Check the Steam Hardware Survey, the numbers don't lie.)

So there's absolutely no '♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥' about upgrading, which I'm actually doing myself currently. CoD Ghosts is one of the games that is ported from the Xbox One / PS4 (I doubt the PC port is based off of the last gen versions). there's nothing more explainable than that. You're just going to have to upgrade soon.

but are those other games supported to run on x32 systems?

This also answers your question. The engine is actually an upgraded version of their past versions used in the other CoD games, not that it looks much different but there's definitely new aspects in the development code from the others.

This isn't called 'having a bad attitude to customers', this is just called 'moving to new technology.'

This is the thing majority of PC gamers have asked about for so long, people kept blaming consoles on how it held back PC gaming, and now that developers finally has the chance to move on to hardware that can actually HELP create better PC ports thanks to both systems using x64 processing architectures instead of two different architectures that can actually hold back a PC port due to poor porting (it's not easy nor is it simple, but I have faith in the next generation PC ports), we have people complaining about unoptimizations and how "the reqired specifications and hard drive space requirements are too high for a console port", like optimizing a game only consists of a mid-aged developer sprinkling fairy dust over a computer.

At a certain point, I thought the new consoles weren't going to mean anything to PC Gaming and how far the technology has went, because even then, I thought the hardware the PS4 and Xbone was packing was just lackluster compared to a typical gaming PC. But now that these Developers have higher limits with what they can do with the hardware and design choices, it's very obvious that they've managed to move on, and there's not much you can do about this besides upgrading unless if developers still push their engine down a notch.

To be very fair, that's all country dependent. you can't build a PC somewhere where the tax rate is very high or ETC as easily as you can in somewhere like the US.

True but only places like brazil are really affected. Her ein the UK we have to pay an extra 20%,. which is a lot,. but you can still get cards like the 6950 that'll get high settings on this game for under £100 now.
6gb ram will be about £40. Not that expensive lol
Alexi The Wusky Nov 3, 2013 @ 5:33pm
almost every country has VAT, yes places have it cheaper and places like the UK have it more, but it doesnt mean the actual cost price is any different from a seller in the US or the UK, only VAT effects the price of goods, or perhaps in some cases large import tax. but if you think sellers like OcUK sell products at a high markup so they can gain money, you are so wrong, so very very wrong, like OcUK makes about £10 on each Samsung 840 Pro 256GB SSD, for GPUs its even less, probably about £5-10 again. but if you work it out, all prices worldwide are the same if you dont count for VAT or Import Tax
