Can somebody tell me more about squad mode?
So far it seems just like a different variation on bots. What's the point of squad HQ?

Additionally I noticed that if instead of clicking "Find game" if you click you "Play game" you'll be in a lobby by yourself with only bots. Is this the offline mode that's on consoles?

Basically its supposed to emulate live MP but you level up accordingly as though you were in a live game

So I can prestige all the way without ever playing against a real human being? How does squad HQ work? LIke, how does choosing squad order and headquarters matter if all I'm doing is facing bots?

squad hq is for squad assault, someone can take there squad that they have made and challange your squad while your offline, however if you squad does will, youll get experience while your away, so setting up the map and gamemode will determine what your squad will be playing on against the other players squad

Isn't playing against bots really easy? So wouldnt my squad lose all the time?

Well, that's something that I'm not really getting either. I wish IW would step up and explain it in more detail. As it stands, my squad has not won a single offline match, while I'm undefeated against friends squads. It really appears that the team with the live player wins every match.

Yeah I figured. Checking the ingame manual told me nothing at all either. I thought it couldve been epic to lead a squad. Hopefully someone can enlighten us.

Squads is a great alternative for players (like me) who've never much enjoyed the CoD MP game. I could happily spend all my time with Squads, tbh. Good work, IW!

I've always enjoyed BO for the bots, and wished that MW3 included it but didn't. Survival modes have always been a downer in my book. No matter how well you do, you still lose. I'm really glad that this one has bot capability. I hate testing different setups in live games because not every idea I have turns out to be a winner. Better to see the problems with my build with bots than look like a monkey in front of real players.

I feel like it could've shined more though. It felt like they just took bots from BO1 and added a few gimmick that are never explained.

You can test setups in private games now. Go to the online multiplayer and start you own private lobby. There you can set the game type and the number of bots+difficulties. As a bonus everything is unlocked so you can plan out what you want to unlock. This is another reason I don't understand squad mode.

Ok, update. Didn't realize this, but apparently as your squad members increase in rank, they get better, and better still if they prestige. Information comes from my son, who <shudder> plays on Xbox, and won the Brady guide at the midnight release. Shouldn't be hard on the kid, if I had a tiny apartment where I didn't have room for a desk, I might play on xbox too.

Thank you. I really needed to hear this. Now I'll have motivation to rank up my members rather than think they will always lose against a living player. So will they approach veteran difficulty?
