Duplicate CD Key in CoD: Ghosts

Good Night guys!

So, i just bought a PC version of Call of Duty Ghost, and i started the installation process, and steam pop-up asking for the CD key. When i typed the Key, a message appeared saying that the Key was duplicated!

How is this possible, when the game is brand new!?!?

I hope you can help me, please!

Laptop65, I buy it from a Media Markt, brand new, sealed. With the two installation CD's and the CD Key.

Then you need to take it back to them and tell them what's up.

Yeah, i'm going to do that, to see if they can give a new one. I'm afraid that it might happen again. We'll see

I'm having the same problem , tried the steam and activision support personnel reported that activision has no access to control licenses and said that I should inquire where I bought the game because steam does not inform on behalf of other people.

Where did you buy it from?

i am having the same problem here as well ,, i got my game from Dubai when i was on a trip,, any help here ?????

Buy the game from a legit keyseller. Obviously Steam is always safe, but my rule of thumb is that if it's a keyseller that is not listed on www.cheapshark.com, then it's probably not legit. Many sites obtain keys from foreign countries where legit keys are bought with stolen credit cards or other dubious methods, such as straight up selling used keys.
