you could try updating the folders in number 3 as this seems to help with a lot of problems http://steamcommunity.com/app/209160/discussions/0/648813576249337583/ or check out some of the other fixes. steam overlay off etc

Had similar problem with my evga card some months ago. Solution for me was as follows;

Exit Steam.
Navigate to steam/userdata folder and delete everything in it.
Restart Steam.

Apparently for me it was some data cache in steam userdata that was causing it, got the solution from steam support.

You could also try deleting the file that is causing the issue, (it may be corrupt), and then verifying the game files during which it will aquire a new copy of the file from the server.

turned out to be a ram issue Wierd never heard of it

Talked to ASUS tech support they recomeneded i change ram brand swapped out ram from G skill to AMD brand no issues with COD ghost or battle field

currently running both games on ultra with all the other settings turned up blur ETC ETC

Ram considerations are important, many think it just works but as you see thats not the case. Memory timing issues dog many ppl because they do not match it to the system and memory timings can be crucial to some setups.

Glad you got it sorted. :)
