What video card do you have? Some do not support DirectX

If you're getting a directx error, there's something REALLY wrong with yoru system. Download directx from microsoft.com and see if that helps

I am running windows 7 64 bit with a Nvidia Geforce GTS 360M with the latest drivers. I have a Toshiba Qosmio X500 with Dirext 11 installed. I know the video card may be a tad under the requirements but it should not stop DirectX from installing. I get the following error message: DirectX encountered an unrecoverabel error, check readme for possible solutions. Wheres the readme file?

The GTS360M is DX10 only. That card will never be able to run the game...

agree. 360m will never play it.

Minimum

OS: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-Bit
CPU: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E8200 2.66 GHZ / AMD Phenom™ X3 8750 2.4 GHZ or better
RAM: 6 GB RAM (patch has lowered this to 4gb)
HDD : 40 GB HD space
Video: NVIDIA® GeForce™ GTS 450 / ATI® Radeon™ HD 5870 or better
Sound: DirectX® compatible sound card
DirectX®: DirectX® 11
Internet: Broadband connection and service required for Multiplayer Connectivity. Internet connection required for activation.

If GTS360M is only DX10 then how is DX11 on my computer and everything is running ok except this game? I have the same problem with BF4.
I have the minimum or better requirements for this game except the video card. Does anyone know if I can upgrade my video card on this machine?

You have DX11 installed on your PC, but you still need a DX11 graphic card to "activate" it.

Same thing happened to me, i had to replace my card with a GTX 760 and now no problems at all on ULTRA. Treat yourself well and upgrade.

is there is a way to fix this? having the same problem here, using NVDIA GeForce 9500 GT
MrDJ Mar 7, 2014 @ 4:53am
buy a new pc or depending on your computer upgrade the graphics card but this will most probably be impossible as new tech will not fit in old tech sockets.

9500GT is 7 years old and will never play ghosts.
you also need 64bit OS
4-6gb ram

oic...its lesser than required. I thought its fine cos cod have been using the same system for ages, anyway i am using windows 7 64bit with I7 processor and 8gb ram, only my graphic card is on the down side...can u suggest which graphic I should buy?
MrDJ Mar 7, 2014 @ 8:02am
is it a laptop or desktop
some computers cant be upgraded as the new thech will just not fit in older sockets.

these are the lowest spec graphics cards you can use even though people with these have had problems playing as well. Video: NVIDIA® GeForce™ GTS 450 / ATI® Radeon™ HD 5870 or better

search for the above graphics cards on this list and then anything above should play ghosts but still may not fit in your computer.
