Ghosts freezes my computer
I've tried every suggestion I can find and the game still locks my computer up. So far I've only had this happen in the campaign, but it's consistent - I cannot play the game I bought.

I made the mistake of assuming that since the game had been out for quite some time that all horrible bugs would be fixed. I was wrong.

INB4 "It's your PC!". I have 300+ games on steam and have never had a game freeze my PC up like this.

Don't buy this game.

dont compair games, thats your first mistake.
second is why not post your system spec to back up your theory of it being a crap game and not a computer problem.

Games don't lock computers, driver errors usually do. When a game calls upon a hardware function and the driver is a bit funky then your system will freeze. Some recent change in hardware may be to blame (I've forgotten my share) and you may just have to recall what got added to your system. Good way to find out is to run Ccleaner, got to tools then sort your installed programs by installation date. You may find that something got added that you forgot about.

Another option to try is download a trial version of Yamicsoft Windows 7/8 Manager and do a registry clean. You'd be surprised at how a registry error can ♥♥♥♥ up a driver function.

Thanks for the suggestion Batman. Honestly I'm just not going to bother. MP appears to not freeze, and I'm just going to stop purchasing Call of Duty games. No game is worth that much effort, especially considering my drivers are fully upgraded and everything else runs fine.

It's nice to be called Batman. :) I change my steam id all the time. You never know what I'll call myself. Some of the names get censored in the discussions even though they're harmless.

3 mont old post so dont expect a reply.

why not also post your spec. ive not had one single issue for the whole campaign.

I ended up getting it working with a different graphics card. I guess the game just hated my other one.

A simple post of your specs would have tell us that in the beginning. I do not understand why people do not like to post their specifications when people are trying to help others.

Having same problem. Able to play all other games on full detail settings with no problems. I'm having very frequent total freezes of computer. I can't even get task manager to work, but I can restart from the Ctrl+Alt+Del screen. I have to reboot computer and try again. Most times the freezes appear random and not in the same places. I'm stuck on a new one that is freezing right in the same spot. I have tried it 3 times now and it appears I will not be able to progress the single player campaign any further than this part.

Yes, some kind of issue, but is not a problem for me otherwise. I have a lot of games that I am playing, is clear to me it is coding in this game
