For people looking in the sale: Squads mode does not work.

Should have checked this before buying the game but I would have expected it to be supported as its still written on the store page and the game is on sale. Ridiculous that you can sell a dead game for £30 and the solo-friendly bot mode has had its servers silently shut down.

Proper private matches probably do still work but dont offer progression, which isnt good enough for me. Asking for a refund now, should have read more of the Steam discussions before buying :(

I tried Squads mode and It works. Anyway, if you want to rank up with bots use IW6-mod, it has the combat training mode.

Was this Squad Assault? The one where its you plus 5 AI vs 6 AI? From what I remember Wargames worked but doesnt let you use your bot team.

Yeah, squad assault does not work, I believe it’s due to them not maintaining leaderboards and keeping data of the squads. So it just goes into an infinite matchmaking loop. It’s sad that they silently did this.
