nope... I have an i5 processor not an i7... that shows you didn't bother reading my post under the video. Also... RAM is the issue not the GPU. You only have 8GB... the game recommmends 8GB. What do you have to spare for your system or other apps running? I'm not trying to argue with you, nor am I trying to beef with you in any way. If anything I'm trying to help you. But if you think this is a war or something lol... nevermind. I bet if you had at least 12GB you'd se a difference. But hey...
This is exactly my example. I ran bf3 a better looking game with larger maps and more players at medium settings with a high FPS, higher than this definitely. Why is that? Because it is a better optimised game. A byproduct of good optimisation is having a game be very efficient with its RAM usage. The fact that 8gb is not good enough for a game like this is a great example of poor memory management and demonstrates my point very well. That is all I'm trying to say. It's a bad port.
Nope... It's because one game uses more RAM than GPU and one uses more GPU than RAM. Just the way it's made. COD Ghosts doesn't use much of my GPU but BF4 does. Yet, BF4 doesn't use more than 3GB of RAM yet COD Ghosts uses almost 7.5GB at times. Different coded games.
The reason BF4 uses more GPU is because it is a more powerful engine, this is very common sense. The reason it uses less ram is because it is very well optimised and if you know how to optimise a game you can minimise ram usage. You can't defend this garbage port but you are trying to.
LOL listen man, I'm not "trying" to defend anything lol. I run both of these games fine. I'm not going to win or lose something here. I'm going to go on playing both games with stability. I'm just saying one uses more of this and the other uses more of that. I'm no game programer or do I care to be... I doubt you are one either. So.... it is what it is. I have more than 8GB and the game runs fine. You don't want to have more than 8GB lol that's fine too. RAM is cheaper than buying a new GPU tho... that's all I know.
I am not a game programmer but I have experience in programming and I do know that ram usage is the biggest thing that can be optimised which is why I run nearly all other games besides this one at a higher FPS that look graphically the same or [usually] superior.
I know the cost of ram, I built my own PC. It's the one thing I'm considering holding off on upgrading soon, instead focusing on my GPU and CPU.
I built my own rig too... both of them. Yet... having 4 more gigs of RAM, less than $60 isn't a big deal, while you're saving to buy a GPU and CPU... more than $600. Probably another motherboard too. But to each his own. Honestly though... Good luck with all that man hope the rig turns out a beast.
I built it last July 2013, it's just a decision I made and I don't regret it. By the time I actually upgrade I probably will throw in another 8gb of ram, but for now I'm fairly happy with it. I've got the motherboard covered along with the PSU, only upgrades I really foresee are GPU, CPU and RAM.
Thanks!
I just got Battlefield 4, and runs on max settings just fine. Multiplayer is great too. So graphically, BF4 > Ghosts.
As far as the game being crap is concerned, it runs almost perfectly on my system with all video settings max'ed out at 1080P. Different strokes for different folks, but I love Ghosts and play mostly Squad Assault. My only other COD game is Black Ops 1 and it doesn't compare favourably to Ghosts at all.
