Game's underrated.
Too many negative reviews. It's honestly a decent game, and the campaign alone is possibly one of the best of any COD campaign. It's got a realistic, if very expressionist story, and the gameplay is great. Of course, the multiplayer leaves something to desire, but honestly its just a rebranding of previous call of duty multiplayers but at least the maps are bigger and theres better hit reg.

Possibly one of the worst things they did was advertising stupid ♥♥♥♥, like Fish A.I., and leaning and Squads, and then there excuse for "levelution" tier dynamics. IW spent way too much time working with things that don't matter, and they should not have advertised their dynamics so enthusiasticlly. Otherwise it would be a mediocre Cod multipleyer, even if the maps and kill streaks are weak, but with an epic campagin.

The other thing is focusing so many dlcs for multiplayer. No one is interested in spending so much into dlc for a unapealling multiplayer. Poor choice of marketing making it seem like they where just desperate to pull in more money.
I also wish IW did'nt end up making the maps so silly and unecessary. Fog,or whatever its called, is an interesting map, and having a player able to play as micheal mayers is acceptable. But when it ends up having maps where players can call in cheesy ghost pirates and fire cannonballs using your smartphone, or having some map in canada with just hockey playing on the screens and a random snow monster that goes around killing people; that takes a step too far. The whole serious, post apocalyptic survivor with really tacticool gear and skills was one of Ghosts strong point, and it did that better then Black Ops 2 in my opinion, but making the game so silly was not a good idea.

Overall, it's probably a 6/10, maybe a 7/10, if the dlc's never happened.

I agree. I dont have it but Ive played it at a friends. Great game. I think its just the fact there dissapointed that its not as good as previous COD games or something or even they hate the COD franchise.

Honestly, what I think it is, is that a lot of the call of duty community just has really short attention spans. Their like "WE NEED INNOVATION!" because they hear people saying that every game is the same, then when they try something new, they completely forget. Like when multiplayer was announced for Advanced Warfare, everyone completely forgot that they wanted innovation and said stuff like "This is'nt even call of duty anymore," or "this is just titanfall without the mechs. So now apparently their takign away exo abilities and the maneuverability so its just reskinned call of duty.

The only other COD game I have is the first Black Ops, which I've owned for almost 4 years on which I've logged around 1450 hours (MP). I've had Ghosts for about 5 months and have around 580 hours on it already playing MP. Overall, I find Ghosts is better in so many ways, but I think IW has gone way over the top with a huge number of different ways to play MP. I found all the options really confusing when I first started playing it. To me, Ghosts offers a lot more than BOPs did for the same amount of money. I've been playing Squad Assault almost exclusively and have a great time with it. I did the SP campaign once and may do it again at a higher difficulty level. I've tried entering MP online matches a few times, but with little luck They are hard to find and, when I have found them, I feel like I'm playing against hackers who make the game completely lopsided and not fun.

I know a lot of people complain that the game is unplayable (terrible performance or whatever), but I've never had that problem and run it with all my video settings max'ed out.

The consoles version are fine graphically and gameplay wise. It's this PC version that's a mess. The way they handled this port was like an afterthought for extra cash.
