Well, I have only played through 2 CoD campaigns, those being Modern Warfare and Black Ops, and those two are considered the best two campaigns by the rankings, exactly in that order, so I was afraid this one would be off the standard.
But apparently, I've only started the campaign, played through the earthquake and then the shooting on the space station, and I kinda find it cool, surprising and, importantly, interesting.
So, maybe people just did not find this campaign overall emotionally appealing, but from what I have seen by now it's a definitely well made game.
The story is awesome, the gameplay is much better than in two other games I completed recently (Homefront and Spec Ops: The Line), both of which are approximately of the same year of release as Ghosts. The graphics are also more than decent.
I don’t remember very well the Modern Warfare campaign, Chernobyl aside, but I remember quite a few scenes from Black Ops, and I should say, by now Ghosts is definitely not a disappointing campaign compared to Black Ops.
sad story where unlike the other cod games, everybody dies and it shows that not everybody comes back from war
#2 mw3
perfect ending for the series, wrapped up all lose ends
#3 world at war
best ww2 story in cod, very impactful parts (like killing german soldiers that are surrendering), very powerful story
The story and scenes and gameplay, all filled with a multitude of noteworthy details, objects, actions. I really can not believe this COD title was considered the worst or as the second worst by the vast majority of rankings.
End of story.
And in Ghosts all not-so-good bits of level design were quite short, so I don't remember being stuck on them.
One guy, for instance, gave the game 3/10 mostly because the devs removes weapon upgrades from thr MP; and another one told that he actually likes the game yet gave it 0/10 because he felt like some levels were copied from Black Ops 2. No wonder the game with such a thrilling campaign got under 3/10 in User reviews.
Now, speaking of Critics reviews: PC version got 68/100, while console versions got over 70. So it could be partially due to being a bad PC port.
I should mention that the game was released soon after the launch of PS4 and XBox One, which meant that the game was released also on PS3 and X360, which means 5 ports in total. So, all things being equal, we should actually give some sense of credibility to the developers and agine the crunch they’ve endured, and don’t forget that Treyarch’s team were assisting as the cridits of the game mentions.
So, yeah...
I am asking because I would assume it’s the MW Remastered, but apparently users seem to hate it (check the steam reviews), and tell that the servers are empty.
I always like coop buddies, but please tell me first, does the coop mode allow to experience the whole story?
Or is it cut, compared to SP campaign?
I just could keep it for nostalgia:)
I still use the same Razer Death Adder mouse I bought 11 years ago in order to play CoD 4: MW with it.
