Street Fighter X Tekken

Street Fighter X Tekken

Control Lag with Keyboard
I'm going through the tutorial, and I'm at the point where you need to cancle a block into a launcher (I'm too PO'd at the game to remember what it's called). Unfortunately, the game won't respond to my input when I attempt to hit forward after a block. I know I'm doing the motions right, and I know it's not my hardware that's causing the problem (if a Razer Black Widdow Ultimate keyboard is too slow for this game, then I want my money back, and I'm able to run the game on my machine at maxed out settings with no visable lag). Unless the tutorial is a bunch of BS, what gives?

Edit: Don't tell me to switch to a controller - my keyboard works well with Super Street Fighter 4 AE.

No offense, but switch to a controller. While you may be able to play with keyboard, it's simply not possible to be competitive with one. You'll never be able to pull off the moves with the precision, and timing needed to beat the harder difficulties, much less a real player of any decent skill using a controller.

I would try to help your actual problem, but the idea of a fighting game with a keyboard is simply laughable to me.

No offense taken, but my gaming background in general leaves me with a pretty nasty problem if that's the case. I don't think you would believe me if I said this, but I'm actually worse with a controller. I can't even pull off basic specials with one, mainly due to the fact that there's no controller that can accomidate my long fingers. I can't even comfortably hit the digital sholderpads on an XBOX 360 controller (and my thumbs naturally rest on the Start and Back buttons), and while Razer has a fight stick in the works, I don't know if it will be compatible with the PC version of the game (not to mention the stupid-high price they expect to sell it for).

I have the Mad Catz street Fighter 4 fight stick. I paid $100 for it and don't regret it one bit. I also have long fingers, but the fight stick is perfect.

It's probably cheaper now, and it's 100% compatible with any game that uses a controller to play.

I'll check it out. If the latency on it isn't bad, I'll get one.

A razer fightstick? sounds like a trainwreck haha.

I strongly suggest AGAINST getting the stick Zorlac showed you, the one he linked to is the standard madcatz fightstick, which use very cheap buttons and joystick and are guaranteed to break within 6-9 months unless you are extremely lucky.Everyone I know who has owned one has gone through this. Mine broke within 3 days but I knew what I was getting myself into before I bought it, as I always originally planned to replace the buttons and joystick with Sanwa which are still going strong.

If you want a reliable madcatz you would have to get a tournament edition which costs a bit more and uses sanwa parts. Also if you are getting it make sure you buy the 360 version the ps3 version is known to not register on pc's with certain motherboard types. http://iplaywinner.com/storage/madcatz_sfiv_fightsick_tournament.jpg?__SQUARESPACE_CACHEVERSION=1263241549377.

I personally recommend getting a Qanba Q4 RAF it works with pc, ps3 and 360 and is very good quality contains Sanwa components and costs around the same price as the TE http://media.eventhubs.com/images/2011/09/26_qanbareview01.jpg .

There are also some cheaper Hori and Seimitsu fight sticks which should provide similar quality but I don't have much experience with them.

i find using a keyboard better than a controller(ps vita), i guess it depends on what keyboard you got... the way mine is made i can do a 360 with ease, rank b also :)
--- You know u can just skip that section of the tut... its not like people even use cross cancel
