Gun arcs?
Aside from wilson's notes, is there any place to see the arcs for the different weapons (preferably in the ship loadout screen)? Since wilson's notes don't cover the new guns I'm kinda longing for info here...
I'd like to mention that the ship loadout screen should rly cover this. Arcs are the kind of essential info that you rly need when tinkering with new loadout ideas

Not in game I don't think, however the wiki has a slew of stats that I assume are updated and accurate.

Thx, that's a start. Especially since I'm not entirely sure, that the wilson notes are all up to date. Doesn't look like the wiki contains the new guns from alliance though...

What I do to sort out gun arcs for my ships is go to practice, turn the gun to its maximum on either side and place a target dummy to mark its limits. I can then either go to the helm to see where the guns arc limits are from there or to another gun to place more dummies and visualise the possible overlap of the gun arcs.
I should really make a quick guide of that method some time.

I put AI on the guns and spawn target dummies to test arc limits. Put flares/mines anywhere that's not necessary

I'll certainly check it out. Does it cover alliance as well?





@Draft Helmet and BlackenedPies, I do something similar. I usually spawn a couple of dummies, mark one as the target and let the ai man all the guns (F2). Some turning quickly shows, if I have overlapping arcs and how large those are.
While it works ok, it's kinda tedious. Especially if I have multiple options for a new build, I rly don't want to fire up like half a dozen practice matches only to see which candidates works and which don't. This way of doing things is also just a pretty rough form of eyeballing. Comparing your options like that isn't exactly precise.

No Alliance support yet since the new guns aren't finalized and data is hard to come by, but, yes, eventually I'll add Alliance-specific weapons.

You dont need multiple practice lobbies for the same ship anymore. Look at the gun and hit = , it allows you to change it live.
