I'm not a genius with these sort of things, And I've tried reisntalling the .NET Framework, but it did nothing. and I am currently using a student laptop. So I am restricted from downloading certain things on this laptop.
So just re-install it normally?

What other games do have no bearing on any others. That includes AO Multiplayer, which is also effectively a different game.
Go through the big list of common fixes. Assuming your system meets the requirements for the game, simply updating your stuff will likely resolve.
you can also try deleting the bmengine.ini (resets the game to defaults), and/or doing a game cache integrity check and/or reinstalling.
