Batman: Arkham Origins Not Responding

Just finished installing Arkham Origins, I felt really psyched to play it, until I hit the play button and the Batman: Arkham Origins logo popped up and sat there. The game didn't start, I heard no music. I clicked it a few times until it said 'Batman: Arkham Origins is not responding'

I tried launching it again....same problem. I did this a few times until I ended up verifying the game files, and restarting steam. Nothing worked. So if you could please help me, that would be great thanks.

I'm not a genius with these sort of things, And I've tried reisntalling the .NET Framework, but it did nothing. and I am currently using a student laptop. So I am restricted from downloading certain things on this laptop.

But downloading games like Arkham Origins on it is fine? :P

All of my games are running perfectely fine. It's just Arkham Origins that doesn't start up. The Multiplayer works but when I click 'Single Player' on the Multiplayer menu, it doesn't respond.

I'm reinstalling DirectX and Visual C++ now. So I hope this fixes this.

I can't update my Visual C++ for some reason, DirectX was fine. What do you mean by installing it in the default Steam folder? A file path would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I had this issue and the fix was simple - set the properties of the BatmanOrigins.exe to run as administrator. Fixed it right away, no need to download or reinstall anything!

Give that a shot and let us know what happens?

It didn't do anything. the splash icon appears then it won't respond. This was a waste of money I bet.

How do you reinstall microsoft .NET framework?

i had nvidia geoforce experience optimize the setting. its working fine now.

What other games do have no bearing on any others. That includes AO Multiplayer, which is also effectively a different game.

Go through the big list of common fixes. Assuming your system meets the requirements for the game, simply updating your stuff will likely resolve.

you can also try deleting the bmengine.ini (resets the game to defaults), and/or doing a game cache integrity check and/or reinstalling.

It is a waste of money man im sorry, i bought it when it came out and do everything everyone suggests, ive tried at least 10 times over the time its been out, and it still crashes at the startup, ever since the 2nd patch 2 weeks after release, WB games is just a selfish company who puts out unfinished game then badly patches the problems to create even more problems for people who didnt have any problems in the first place..my game ran perfectly not a single but then that patch and i can never play again..waste of $50
