How do you enable shock gloves?
I have shock gloves, and am doing some training with them, however they seem to activate randomly. People have said to hold LMB and then click RMB, but that doesn't do it. As I am battling, I do not get the option to use them, and then randomly, near the end of battles, it then gives me an on-screen indicator for the above commands, and if pressed at that time, then activate (of course, everyone in the battle is already KO'd)

This game has been norotious in a couple key areas in not informing the player as to certain game mechanics, and this is just another one of those instances, so for anyone who has figured it out, how's it done?

Thanks in advance.

You have to press LMB and RMB once at the same time. I find it usually messes up combos though, so do it while diving over someone or doing a takedown animation

Just get to fighting, you need to do several attacks before the gloves will allow you to activate them I think. Once you get going, hold Left and Right Mouse Buttons at same time and they will turn on, then sit back and watch the fireworks.

in case you didn't notice, you have to charge them first by doing regular combos and takedowns in combat. on the top left, under your hud, you'll see the gauge for the gloves. once its filled, you can use them and wreak havoc.

Thanks. You would think that if you pressed the commands to activate the gloves, and you didn't have a charge, that an on-screen notice would appear to indicate that. I'll fire up the game later and see if I can get these darn things to work.

i think due to the button combination you have to press to activate them, you'd probably get spammed by messages like "can't activate yet" over and over again. in fact, i activated the gloves quite frequently by accident when countering.
point still valid though, the mechanic could've been made a bit more obvious. it took me a couple of fights to figure it out as well.

I started a topic about this earlier, and someone gave me the solution to this. If you wait until you're idling, face an enemy, and press LMB and then RMB, you will activate the gloves and attack in one motion without breaking your combo. It's been working pretty well so far.

Yeah because let's hold people's hands even more, you could've just read the description in the upgrades menu, but no ofcourse the devs are at fault for not narrating your every footstep.

Thanks, will definitely try that

You're a complete imbecile. Bet your parents are proud of you. Stupid AND snarky? Wow, you must be quite the lady's man! 8:)

As to everyone else. I've been doing training with them, maybe the rules are different, but I've had a 0% success rate in getting them to activate at the start of a training session. Usually by the time an online message comes up telling you to press the keys, I press it, and they activate each and everytime, but at that time in the battle, most of the combatants are down, and I'm being kept from being able to earn the 3 gold medals because of it.

For example, in my last one, I had KO'd all enemies except 2, and then the message came on my screen , I pressed the buttons, they activated, and I was able to get 1 medal by the time they both KO'd.

Gonna deal with this later for the time being, but thanks for all the input.

Lol I'm an imbecile for -reading- the material the game presents to me?
And what's the precedent for the rest of your insults, you don't know me yet you find it appropriate to instantly go to "sex jokes", just because I told you to take some time to read?

Also if you did take some time to read the things the game present to you, you would've read that doing a -beatdown- increases the shock glove charge immensely, which would explain why you can't get them to activate early on because guess what, you charge them with punches.

Also there is a -blue bar-, in your hud, that tells you how far the charge is, plus a sound that indicates if they are charge, plus the actual prompt showing up when you have a charge.
But no ofcourse the devs are at fault for your laziness and short attention span.

You get a prompt when they are charged ...
Spectre Oct 28, 2013 @ 1:49pm
It's per hit so they charge very fast during a beatdown. To get the most out of them build an x5/8 combo then drop the bat stun in the middle of the group at the start to give you time to deliver a beatdown (ideally to an armored guy). Then pop them and go into freeflow to see how stupidly overpowered they are... it's funny how the new items WB introduced pretty much remove the skill and break the finely-balanced mechanics for both combat and stealth (shock gloves mean you don't have to treat any foes differently and remote claw heavy line trivialises most stealth encounters).

No, you're an imbecile for making an assumption that everyone is 100% like you and are so myopic that the possibility that someone else could have interpreted information differently than you did. That's why you're an imbecile. The world would do better with less people like you.

You also show how inept you are about user interfaces. No UI is 100% effective. Human/Computer Interaction models provide a series of guidelines for successful interaction, but there are no rules.

You know, the more you talk, the more I'm reminded of that saying "It is better to be THOUGHT a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt." Feel free to keep showcasing your snarky cynicism. It's still entertaining, but I'm warning you that unless you can keep dropping such quality gems as you have already, I may tire quickly of your idiocy.

Where did I make any assumption of people being like me? You know who made an assumption?
The people who made this game and put all the information for you to read or in on-screen prompts; they assumed that aside from giving you all this information, 3 seperate (2visual,1audio) indicators of the charge would give the average player at least a slight hint of what's going on.

Heck before posting here you could've just paused the game and read the instructions (which is what I was saying: the info is right there for you, I didn't assume anything).
Yet somehow all of this guidance was lost on you, simply because you are lazy and clearly have the attention span of a goldfish.

But no, let's just blame all of your misguidance on neglect of the developers and resort to insults when you get confronted by logic; you've been great at doing so thus far.

that awkward moment when a thread about "shock gloves in a video game" completely derails into a verbal slapfight...
