I'm having the same problem and I believe it's another bug. I've started a new game and I'm still not being credited for Double Trip.
I can't advanced past Rank 8 in Shadow Vigilante so I'm completely locked out of any further Close Combat upgrades along the Combat Armor tree.
Yup, I targetted a group of thugs, did Double Trip and completed the fight by taking them all out but still no credit for it.
The ground slide is the manuever that I've been using for Double Trip.
Yes, naturally, otherwise you'd be able to complete a large number of challenges in just the first hour of game play.
I had completed all the challenges up to, and including, Rank 7's challenge.
I'm not sure what was different this time around but I gave the challenge another attempt under my newer saved game and Double Trip registered this time, so this was just a hiccup.
This hiccup, and falling through the world once during an elevator ride are the only bugs I've run into so far. I've been relatively lucky a well. I haven't run into some of the truly game-breaking bugs that others have posted about.
Knock on wood!
This. There are certainl challenges that require you to do them more than once. One of them is the luring enemies with the sonic batarang, I was fairly sure this was one too.
