Tutorial: Remove mouse smoothing/Disable Frame Smoothing/Raise field of view/Disable startup movies
Note: When the game updates it replaces entire files that have been updated, so you'll find these changes being reverted often; it's annoying and unfortunate but it's a downside of the unreal engine. So if your in-game settings have changed then there's a high chance these settings also reverted

Ok big shoutout to my previous thread which I've deleted to make this more organized one, and shotout to all the community who helped contribute. Here's how to do it all

1) Remove mouse smoothing/Adjust mouse sensitivity - Head over to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Batman Arkham Origins\SinglePlayer\BMGame\Config\BMinput.ini

Open the file in notepad->turn bEnableMouseSmoothing to FALSE
Change sensitivity to any value of preference, default is 30.0, I changed it to 25.0

2) Disable Frame Smoothing - Head over to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Batman Arkham Origins\SinglePlayer\BMGame\Config\BMEngine.ini

Open the file in notepad->Search with CTRL+F for smoothframerate->hit find-> Turn smoothing from TRUE to FALSE then right under it you'll see min/max, turn min to 0 and max to 0

Now hit CTRL+F yet again and hit next while searching down, you'll come across the same command, do what you've done for the first command again, now search one more last time searching downward and you'll come to the third and final value, it should be FALSE by default but change min to 0 and change max to 0, then exit and save and you've disabled smoothing

3) Raise Field of view - Head over to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Batman Arkham Origins\SinglePlayer\BMGame\Config\BMinput.ini

Open the file in notepad->Look at the first line [Engine.PlayerInput] Scroll to the first Bindings, now select ALL of the bindings and then copy them, then search for [BmGame.RPlayerInput] and under the last line of that hit paste so you paste ALL of the bindings into there, once they're all pasted scroll down to the last binding and hit enter so you're on a fresh line-> Then paste in Bindings=(Name="F10",Command="fov 80") then you can exit and save the file and once you're in-game you just hit F10 and the fov will take place, note that when you die/use fast travel or reload checkpoints you'll have to hit f10 again

Feel free to change 80 to whatever value you prefer, I've found that a value of 100 is too high for this game but in arkham city it was not!

4) Disable startup movies

Right click on Batman Arkham: Origins on steam and click properties, then click set launch options, inside type -nostartupmovies

Then click ok and now the game will launch directly to the main menu skipping the intro movies.

Hope this helps, thanks to everyone who contributed.

Cool thanks for the tip, I prefer to do it manually though for whatever reason. Hope this helps all of you, confirmed it all works testing myself before posting :)

Does this help the sluggish camera / movement of the remote batarang when using kb/m?

No idea, feel free to test it yourself; I always play the batman games with altered settings because I'm sensitive to all these things

Youve lost me after changing the first smoothframerate, i changed that to fale, and min /max to 0 so where do i find it another 2 times becasue going by yoyr instructions i would be changing the same line over agian ? also my files are on the c drives but not thesame directories, and steam auto installed it.

The file has three instances of smoothframerate. You need to change all three to False. You find the other two by hitting "Find Next" in the search box.

Yeah you change it to FALSE, and min/max to 0, then search again for the other instances of smoothframerate and do the exact same to those two, then save the file and the game will get rid of that 'smoothing' feeling

Glad this helps everyone, and I found 80 fov to be fine but we probably play on different resolutions, also when you're actually moving or in combat the camera zooms in further away.. plus it's beneficial because now you can see enemies engaging you from the back so it makes combat much more fun and fluid

Thank you!
Do you know how to entirely disable PhysX via the .ini files? Last time I booted the game, PhysX was set to "off" in the settings but I still had APEX clothing and footprints in the snow along with all the fancy particle stuff.
My i7 920 doesn't seem to like handling that stuff after my GTX570 was put to retirement xD
