Grapnel boost?

this has been irking the ♥♥♥♥ out of me. in city, the boost is still in the prototype stage, and its implied that its the first time batman has ever used the upgrade. so how the ♥♥♥♥ does he have it, like 7 years in the past? did his younger self go into the future and say, "hey that neato, can i borrow that?". how are they going to explain it?

Yes, inconsistent. Clearly a concession for the sake of gameplay. Personally I don't care.

Well the video pretty much says it i wouldve guessed that this was probably around the time he had the idea for it and decided "Yeah lets try that idea out see how bad i can ♥♥♥♥ myself up"
But thats not the case oh well
