Arkham Origins 'Steam Must Be Running'
Hey, I'm facing a problem with my retail Arkham Origins. A few days ago, I tried starting the game, but a prompt asked me if I wanted Arkham Origins to make changes to my computer. I was confused, but I clicked 'Yes'. However, instead of the game starting, I got an error message that said:

'Steam must be running in order to launch the game'.

Funny thing is, I launched the game with the Steam client! I've tried logging out/logging in, restarting my PC and even re-installing the game and Steam itself. Nothing has worked so far. My specs are:

Intel Core i7 3770k
ASRock Z77 Extreme3
nVidia GTX 660
8GB RAM

Can you guys help me out?

Steam will say that if you previously ran a non-steam game (torrent). Just saying...

Nah, I don't pirate games and I only have Steam games on my PC right now.

So, this just started happening? I can see that you already played 18 hours of the game. Also, do other games run fine?

Some of that must be from the online version, which is running fine. Guess I should've mentioned that, sorry.

And yeah, it ran okay for a while. It just started happening a while ago, after 2-3 days of it working fine,

What about other games? Anyway, I found this answer online:

"just uninstall the game ,switch off your antivirus and firewall and all protection software for os and reinstall the game ,should work as the same worked for me after trying everything for a week"

Try doing it first without uninstalling the game, if that doesnt work then do exactly as suggested in the comment. Otherwise, I advise you to contact Steam support.

Didn't work without uninstalling, I'll try what the guy in the comment said. Thanks for your help :D

EDIT: That didn't work. Still, thanks for trying :)
