Autoclimb on sniper-swarming rooftops

Sometimes Batman doesnt simply hang off the ledge while grappling there from below, but climbs there only to be shot. I suppose this is a bug, please fix it someday. Thank you.

You need to hold grapnel button.

It took me like half the game to figure out. I don't recall any prompt mention it in single-player, yet it does mention it in one of the multiplayer tutorial videos...go figure.

Wait.... WHAT?!?! 2.4 games now and I didn't know that? I mean, I saw someone post something about holding a key, but I thought it was the spacebar, and it didn't do anything for me.

You mean this actually works? Is it the grapple key? Does it matter if you're boosted the grapnel (spacebar) or not?

Yes, grapple key...hold F by default.

Man. I deserve to have all my batarangs taken away from me. :-( I feel better though that it wasn't mentioned anywhere except in MP.

If you are boosted you'll fling yourself up into the air regardless (not 100% certain, but 99,9%), but unboosted you will stop at the ledge, hanging.

I wish it was the other way around. Hanging by default, climbing up and over on the press of the button, but oh well.

I like it more the way Arkham asylum worked. You hanged by default and needed to tap space to climb. But apparently you cant always have what you want. )

Nope. Holding the grapple button will even stop a grapnel boost. Just on actual ledges, though; not on gargoyles or water towers.

o_O Seriously, are you talking about City or Asylum? U've just beaten Asylum (for the 7-th time) and Batman always auto-hangs there.

Was talking about Asylum, but I'm not so sure now. I do remember climbing over ledges straight into plain sight a lot, but I guess that could just as easily have been from holding the grapple button in without realizing I shouldn't.

I played all three games and never realized it had to be done this way. Where exactly was this mentioned - or did you all yus guessed how to do it?
