Hostages In Train Station

I have disarmed the bomb but i cannot free the hostages in the train
i can proceed to the 3rd Bomb and i guess i dont have to free them
but it seems a bit wierd to leave them stuck in the train
they are crying out to be freed
there is simply no way for me to enter the train car
is this a glitch or am i missing something?

There was a room near the first train car that was raised. You had to get into it and there's a switch in there that lowers the train car. One of the hostages should've told you about it. Guess she was having a really bad day. ;-)

Maybe she was miffed that you took so long. :-P

well i made in into the control room
pressed the switch
the train lowered
i then jumped on top of the train
i disarmed the bomb..but the hostages are still stuck in the train
pleading to be let free

when the train lowers do the hostages come out on their own or do you need to enter the train car in some way to free them?

You can speak to a female passenger. Nothing much happens.

Yeah, they stay there for a little while. Sorry, I didn't think you'd got past that part yet. The part about continuing on to the second one should have been a clue to me that you had done everything you can in that room.
