Critical strikes are ONLY possible after you've defeated Shiva in her sidequest. Until then, Critical strikes won't register. A lot of players get to that rank and start attempting it way before they get the Critical Strike upgrade. And remember: you have to get 20 Critical Strikes, not just a 20x combo multiplier. Critical Strikes are different and will pop-up onscreen near the combo meter when you get one. If it's not saying "Critical Strike" in bright yellow letters then you're not getting credit for them and you might have to slow down combat just a bit. See next paragraph.

I believe Critical Strikes are finally fixed in the game with the latest patch(es) so it shouldn't be an issue, but for a while they were really messed up and you had to resort to workarounds to get enough of them. So, if you're having trouble getting enough of them, then you may have to try evading enemies in a fight to get enough, by jumping over their heads constantly between punches because there is a delay on some peoples' systems before Critical Strikes could register correctly. Again, that should be fixed though.

It's easy enough to check to see if you're getting them because it shows on screen. Just because you can get 50x combo doesn't mean that's 50 critical strikes. They're related (they both increase your combo x) but different.

Shiva mission？ what is it about “Critical strikes” i just cant know. i just get the game ,and do any mission （Quest） and i up level much .

Critical strikes require an upgrade. The upgrade requires fighting Shiva. You can fight Shiva halfway through the game.

To do a Critical Strike, don't press the strike button too frequently. If you frantically press the strike button, the Critical Strikes will fail. Press the strike button exactly one time for each attack animation.

世界最强玩家, during the game you will fight criminals at the Gotham Merchants Bank. You will leave the Bank through the lower door. Outside the door will be corrupt Gotham Police. Fight them.

Beyond where you fight the Gotham Police will be a Baby Carriage. You will hear a baby crying as you approach. Inspect the Baby Carriage. The Baby Carriage will start the Shiva mission. When you complete the Shiva mission, you will have Critical Strikes upgrade.

Critical Strikes enable you to hit 2x as hard as normal. You need 20 Critical Strikes in a combo to win Shadow Vigilante Rank 12 achievement.

"Critical strike" is an idiom. The word "critical" doesn't translate well alone. Translate "critical strike" as "skillful strike" or "masterful strike." Perhaps "well-timed strike."

Critical strikes require: timing, precision, patience.

Here's the in-game text for critical strikes:

Successful Critical Strikes reward perfect combat timing with devastating power. The goal is to perform a strike just after finishing the previous move. However if you press too early or tap repeatedly then you will not perform a Critical Strike. These well-timed blows also increase the combo by x2 for each strike, allowing for quicker activation of Special Combo Moves.

You have the "Critical Counter" upgrade at this early point in the game. This makes you to hit 2x force after a Counter.

No worries, you will fight Shiva and attain "Critical Strikes" upgrade later in the game.
