Batman™: Arkham Origins
Dual monitors. One blacks out.
I have a dual monitor set up, TV and regular monitor. When I go full screen in this game, it shows the game in one monitor and blacks out the other. I'd like it to show the game in one monitor and leave the other showing my normal desktop so I can, say, play Netflix on my TV.

I know I've had this problem before with other games and there's usually some kind of setting to help with it. You'd think a game as new as this one would have that. Is there some trick or hack I can try or a setting I'm missing?

Don't want to use windowed mode. Thanks for your help.

My second monitor shows desktop about 70% of the time. I don't think you can avoid it going black. I would just close the game then re-launch it until you can see the desktop.
To avoid extended monitor to turn black when in Fullscreen mode of Batman arkham Origins, do this.

1. Go to your game folder
Steam\steamapps\common\Batman Arkham Origins\SinglePlayer\Binaries\Win32\

2. Right click on "BatmanOrigins.exe" file and choose properties.

3. Open "Compatibility"-tab

4. Enable "Disable desktop composition"

That should do it. The windows wont be able to use Aero while you are playing but atleast your second monitor should be ok now.

For your second problem. To move the game to another screen.

After you've done the "dark screen"-fix start the game and change into windowded-mode. Just drag the game screen to your second monitor and the revert it back to fullscreen. It should adjust the resolution correctly and stay on the new monitor. Havent tested it futher. There might be some issues with mouse-cursor positioning in-game but let me know what happens. :)
@$ Viator, thank you man you really helped me with this instructions!
