Joker Bug at Chapel Fix

Ok Guys, After so much frustration, I found a solution in another forum. By changing one of the .ini files:
Go to:

SteamFolder\steamapps\common\Batman Arkham Origins\SinglePlayer\BMGame\Config\DefaultInput.ini

Look for "NumPadThree" which I found on line 150.
Under that add:
.Bindings=(Name="NumPadFive",Command="TriggerQuickStrike | QuickGadgetX | DebugMenuSelectX | CancelBatarangCamera | Button aQuickStrike")

During the joker beatdown press the 5 key on your numpad to beat down the joker.

This will solve the issue, enjoy!!!

It worked for me! But it really is very disappointing to buy a game like this (that everybody said it would be so great) and have this stupid problem in the final scene.

You are correct. It should never have happened, but as usual, we the end user are left to dig ourselves out of the hole WB has dug for us. Thank goodness for the community and clever users willing to put so much effort into finding solutions like this!

Since I am playing the game on my laptop (where there are no numpad keys on the right of the keyboard), I am still stuck with this glitch.

I've tried using the key 5 (above R and T on the keyboard, cause maybe that would work) after setting your binding to my game log, but that wouldn't work for me still, so I was wondering if there was another key that I could bind instead of numpad 5.

Please let me know if you are able to help. Thank you for all the help.

yeah, unfortunately backslash won't work for me either, cause my laptop has german keyboard. Haha :D

I would be tremendously greatful if you could generate the code for me to use either the key + or the # (hashtag).

From what I can tell, the plus key is called "Add", so just substitute that into the file. Unfortunately, the Add key is the plus key on the numpad. Not sure about the hashtag. Some keys don't work that I've tried, but not many. Probably just because I don't know what label is hardcoded into the game for them.

So, comment out this line (it's #140 in my .ini file)

;.Bindings=(Name="Add", Command="AddXP")

and then add the line above with Add as the name, like this:

.Bindings=(Name="NumPadFive",Command="TriggerQuickStrike | QuickGadgetX | DebugMenuSelectX | CancelBatarangCamera | Button aQuickStrike")

Where is the hashtag on a German keyboard? On a US keyboard it's over the number 3 key at the top of the row (ie. Shift+3), so I don't think that would be a good choice for a US keyboard user to try, since the 3 key is already mapped. Might still work though. Some people don't mind hitting Shift+a key to do functions in games.

Im glad there is a fix but its obnoxious knowing that this is an issue and hasn't been fixed. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ console games being copy/paste to pc with no real attempt to find issues is a big issue.

Okay, "Add" above is also for the numpad (the '+' key on the number pad), so that won't work for you, =PHD= Spirit of Fire. Sorry.

So, where is the '+' key on your keyboard?

It doesn't work for me, guys. Please, help me, I'm desperate to finish the story.
I found the file Robo wrote about, but in a different folder with a different name.
(C:\Users\A\Documents\WB Games\Batman Arkham Origins\BmGame\Config) called BmInput. However, it seemed to be just the same. So I added the line and tried to play, but nothing changed. Batman makes two weirdly shooky hits and than freezes. Please, guys, where did I go wrong? What do I do?
