Question about joker / the ending [SPOILERS]
Just finished the game but why does joker keep seeing something i assume only to be nightmare batman?

I am referring to the scenes when batman is punching joker unconcious and when Joker is running (from?) towards batman.

Joker is crazy/mentally disturbed. That's they he sees Batman, a criminal's worst fear and yet he's not afraid but intrigued about how Batman does what he does.

I mean i understand why joker likes him and feels his "connection" but i honestly feel like the seeing him as that weird black disturbed batman is a different reason.
He talked about batman as if he loved him - and if so why would he see him as a demon?
It seems strange to me - like they were possibly setting up for a DLC because that WAS nightmare batman...

That's not REALLY what he sees. It's a visualization of how Joker PERCEIVES him. It's really all for our benefit as the audience to let us get inside Joker's head.

In a sense, he does. Batman's whole motif is about instilling fear. As Killer points out, Joker is a mentally disturbed sociopath. He doesn't perceive morality and society in the way that normal people do.

Most people naturally understand that killing, even when justified, is morally repugnant. A sociopath not only doesn't see it that way, they may actively think it's OK to commit murder (for whatever reason.)

I understand the way joker thinks - and why... I just cannot wrap my head around why joker visualizes another character from within the DC universe.
Maybe i'll blame this on a hard days work and lack of sleep but it all seems very odd to me like the image they put in for him is the opposite of what the joker thinks and feels.

Unless the point is that the fear joker has for batman attracts him - due to joker not caring (or maybe wanting) death?
