Second, no one has spent time fixing the game other than the developers. So no, there are no "fan-made patches".
And third, just play the game yourself. Should you run into any game breaking issues, then start reporting.
I wasn't aware most of the game-breaking bugs were fixed. I was under the impression they still existed.
And if I didn't intend on playing myself regardless, I wouldn't have bought it. I was just asking out of curiosity, not trying to slag the game.
There was a huge patch that basically replaced half of the game's files, and patched pretty much every game breaking bugs in there. It was stated a long time ago too, but people just saw the part where they said they were working on DLC, and started misinterpreting the whole thing.
Anyway, have fun with the game. You should have a smooth experience with it now that it's been fully patched up.
I have actually thought about buying a fresh retail copy. That should fix this grate problem.
But I am going to try some other savegames.
I am unhappy with the dev's but it is great in 3D and I plan to continue on the best I can.
I am not going to buy the other Batman titles until my problem is fixed or addressed by the game developers and publisher. I paid top dollar for this.

Yup. this was discussed to death back at the time. I took alot of crap for "defending" WBM when the reality was that people were hearing what they wanted to hear, not what was actually said.
There weren't that many "game breaking" bugs to begin with. Most of the bugs in this game are cosmetic or are simply annoyances which are easily fixed or worked around. Unfortunately, there are a few serious bugs (Killing croc flickering/disappearing, black world/infinite falling, Gothcorp lobby grapple bug) that were never properly fixed.
Good news however is that these can all be worked around should you happen to experience them. Just search the forums and you'll find the info.
Well that's good, it's a great game and a great entry to the series, despite what the haters would have you believe.
"grate problem"?
If you're talking about the Burnley Tower vent bug (can't climb into the vent) that was fixed in the very first patch!
your loss. We'll all just go enjoy AK without you then
It was made by WBM with support from Rocksteady, who made a vast majority of the resources to build the game. They are both owned by WB Interactive.
The animation shows him trying to peel it back but it never comes open.
Do you know of another way to proceed on?
Like I said this is from 2 PC's, different builds, cases, etc. the same glitch. (Win 7 and 8.1)
If it's a random glitch on the install DL why me?
I've heard of one or two others that have this problem.
Hope you can help.
Thanks,
Bill
you need to repeatedly press space to remove the grate. The game should prompt you to do this by flashing the command on the screen.
Another way through the vents is to run at it and do a slide through it.
to answer you question, all the game-breaking bugs have been fixed. games released without SDKs or a mod community are not likely to get fan-made patches anyway.
This is a common fallacy. It's just not true. Unreal engine is highly portable, but it was born on the x86 PC you know.
No, they haven't, but there are ways to work around what few there are.
There are tons of mods's available.

I am not a software engineer, but I see no reason the UDK couldn't be used by some sufficiently motivated person with the neccessary expertise. After all, it's the same basic tools that engine licensee's use to build their products.
