[Solution] How to fix Texture problem

For everyone who have same texture problem with this Toipic:

it not help me so i decied to fix it with my self. let me show you the solution


1.Go to your game Directory : X:\Games\Steam\SteamApps\common\Batman Arkham Origins\SinglePlayer\BMGame\Config

2.Find BmEngine.ini and Click to it

3.Search for "DetailMode=" and change it to "DetailMode=2" no quote

4.Chance MaxShadowResolution=XXXX to MaxShadowResolution=1120 if you want

5.Enjoy and hope it help

Is 2 the highest DetailMode? How did you figure this out? I contacted WB support even they didn't know this fix. Again Thank You for posting this!

Yes, 2 is the highest and I find this solution by my luck I guess XD

No longer do I have to suffer looking at wall textures from Playstation 1. No longer do I have to suffer weird spotty black shadow textures on Batman's cape. Thank you!! (someone should sticky this thread)

i just checked it as a test and my detail was on =2 i dont get it :P hmm

I still have the same problem. Tried to change the Detailmode line but when I start the game it crashes and I noticed that the "BmEngine.ini" file, returns to the default one so all the changes I've done suddenly disappear. I know it's one year later, but can someone help me?

Did you try to set it as read only? Idk if it'll fix the crash...

You may have changed a different setting. If readonly doesn't work move that Engine.ini to your desktop and verify your cache to get a fresh one, then try to edit that one again.

Wow, got to the Deathstroke fight untill I decided to look up about this awful textures. Kinda wished I knew about this before I started.

It works for me btw.
