While I love City... at times a lot of the story just feels like filler. The opening and ending are great, but there's a lot in between that just comes across like "Look at this cool character we added..."
I love all three games. But, something about Origins just makes it stand out above all the rest to me.
Also, I love how the boss fights are handled in Origins. Yes, a lot of people complain that they are basically just quick time events, but... a lot of them show off how skilled a fighter Batman is.
Origins on the other hand was more serious and oddly realistic. You could see that in either the conversations of the goons or the design of the assasins.
Look at Copperhead.
This is how he looked like in the comics:

And you all remember the game look.
For me the best was the Riddler, as far as design.
The Boss fights were mostly easy, but the one with Deathstroke was fantastic, it's a shame they couldn't all be like that. Still it's not like City had complex boss fights.
Also, Asylum and City destroy Origins when it comes to polish.
If Arkham Knight is the last Arkham game that Rocksteady makes it will be the last Arkham game I buy. I will never buy another Arkham game made by Warner Montreal.
