I know Deathstroke, Bane and Firefly are talked about quite a lot and for good reason as they're genuine highlights of the main story, but I also enjoyed the optional Deadshot fight in the Gotham Merchants Bank. While yeah, it's pretty much just a clone of the Two Face boss from City, Deadshot himself got a far better boss in Origins than he did in City.
the problem is that i dont consider this a boss fight, just like i dont consider the freeze city one a boss fight either. its more of a predator style where you can have all your time and can make strategies. i will admit that the deadshot one was tougher then any that came before.
here is my problem with the boss fights all over arkham games. because those are more of a story driven games the devs dont want people to get stuck at them. so they give you checkpoints in between phases, the bane fight was cool but could have been better if they dident gave you checkpoint in between. thats the entire points of bosses, to beat them at all phases.
The only exception to this throughout the series is Scarecrow from Arkham Asylum - I don't really consider that a proper boss as you don't actually "fight" him proper; it's literally just a glorified stealth segment.
I'm the same. I don't think there's any bossfights in Arkham Knight for this reason.
That said, I feel Origins has the best bosses by far. Asylum has one bosstype that gets recycled, City has a few weaker bosses, and Knight has none.
Deathstroke is up there being cinematic and fun. Downside is that he's too easy. Fight him like normal bad guys. Then when the cinematic plays, don't hit any button until time slows down.
I also really like Deadshot. Stealth boss fights are hard to do right and he was done right. You can repeatedly clear the room then takedown deadshot. But every time you do, he'll summon stronger and stronger minions. Or you can take him down while ignoring the minions. Harder in the shortrun but easier in the long run.
His patrol path changes to make him vulnerable to different take downs each time. First one is ledge. Then I just do a drop attack. Then he'll go low outer ring for a vent or grate takedown. Then inner ring for a window take down. Then he'll take a hostage.
For I Am The Knight I decided to try a different tactic on Bane where I focus on him and treat the goons as a way to build my combo as opposed to clearing the goons then focusing on Bane. This way was much more fun.
