the deathstroke fight is kind of a letdown
the reason people dont dare to say that is because deathstroke is a cool character and only heaving him alone in this game is great, but if you look at the actual fight itself, all it is are cutscenes with quick time events and thats it. every 2 seconds the animation plays in which even without the counter symbols there is a slow motion everytime you need to counter to its easy to figure out. and its the same animations play everytime. all you need to do in this fight is counter - attack, counter - attack over and over.

the exploding barrels even if they do explode on you bearly do any damage to you. its a very generic and boring fight. it seems like people dont dare to say this because this is deathstroke and next to other boss fights in arkham it feels uniqe. but again, its only because the boss fights in arkham in general kinda suck. the only exception was freeze in city but that was because it was a predator boss fight and not classic fighting boss fight.

what i find annoying is that the game on new game + with not that easy and yet the boss fights themesevles are that easy

I personally loved the Deathstroke boss fight in this game and it's far from being one of my favourites in this series. The only major issue I have with it is that it's so easy to cheese by redirecting over him so you never have to time your counters unless the game goes into a cutscene mid-fight, which was how I was able to easily get the achievement tied to this boss instead of trying to fight him properly. :deathstroke:

Even if you don't like the Deathstroke fight in this game, I think everyone can agree that it is miles better than the one from Arkham Knight which is literally just the Cloudburst tank again that you already fought in the main story with barely any changes and in the batmobile. That game had terrible bosses in general, and that is just one example.

deathstroke need to be in a tank because batman is in the batmobile. makes perfect sense

the fight in origins is a glorified ryhtm cutscene, its not really a real fight anyway, the bane fight on the rooftop is much more impressive. in the deathstroke fight there are too many cutscenes and relience on counter
I loved it. It felt like a movie and it also felt very personal.

playing it now on new game + and i wont lie. i do love the main story even if i'm not a big fan of the joker. however with that being said, it dosent change the fact that the deathstroke fight while uniqe is still one long golorified cutscene. the game constantly throw you over and over to the same cutscene where you need to counter at the right time like a rythem game. i love deathstroke. i love his design, his voice. everything. but the battle itself is too easy and not very satisfying. however, the bane fight on the roof was much better.

yeah its not hate on AO, just this specific fight. this and the side missions which most of them are boring

Most people still think QTE cutscenes are an actual game mechanic, despite the fact that most AAA modern games give you the option to completely skip them, meaning even the developers themseles has finally stopped pretending.

Horribile boss fight, and terrible waste of Deathstroke as a character in general.
