Everything is Written in Code

So, I have had this on my laptop for 3 weeks and last week it decided to start writing everything in code. in the main menu, it would say click to continue and it would be fine. once i got to the page that let me select what memory i wanted to play, everything was written in code. It continues during gameplay and gets really annoying. an example is the first code i see says
?INT?GFXUI.Titles.SlotSelect? and im like how am i supposed to deal with this? if anyone knows what I can do to fix it, Please let me know.

I've fixed it. Go to steam and validate game cache. It will find which files are damaged and replace them.

What? It's not "code", you game files are damaged. Do a game cache integrity check as the above suggested.

I ended up getting it to work actually, I just reinstalled the game and all my saved files were still there

You could just validate cache like I did, it is much faster that downloading the whole game again (presuming that you have a digital copy too) :)
