This game turned everything good about Arkham City into ♥♥♥♥.
then why are you here, lmfao 🤣🤣🤣 arkham city aged worse than origins . there’s no reason to play it anymore , everything about it has been outdone
open world ? arkham knight
gameplay ? arkham knight
story ? origins
bosses ? origins
atleast asylum has the unique spooky atmosphere and linearity. city has NOTHING 💀💀
the story of origins is very simple next to arkham city. okay, it's not a bad story, but it offers a very average story. it can't even compete with arkham city as a boss battle. the only good boss battle in origins is the deathstroke boss battle. it is already made up of the assets of the Ras al ghul boss battle in Arkham City.
You probably met the Arkham series late. so you don't know much about the series.
arkham city was the first game i played, and i enjoyed it . guess what ? i played origins last because of the reception it had. when i finally played it i couldn’t believe how wrong people were about this game . but gamers tend to have a knack for hating good games and overrating the **** out of mediocre ones.
Why do you have to convince everyone Origins is the best and anyone who thinks different "mad"? That's what you basically write in the other thread - all people who don't prefer Origins over City are mad! That's trolling:
I already blocked you and can keep on doing so, but I am once again trying to appeal to your reason and sanity, because this is getting really annoying. It makes being here on the forums unfun.
You write you actually liked City but got triggered when you saw people constantly hating on Origins. However here on the forums YOU are the one constantly hating on City. Not sure you're aware of it, but it's true. Here the same happens: if you constantly hate on City and the other Rocksteady games (whenever anyone says anything even remotely negative about Origins), people will start to defend them. Inevitable. And you are the one unable to cope with that backlash...
See. Me, I actually love Origins, I would recommend anyone to play it and said so many, many, many times. I just don't think it's the "bestestest" ever. And there are some flaws I can't deny or make unseen. And that alone seems enough to have made me your enemy. Which I am definitely not. I just don't like constantly being put into the "mad City-fanboys" corner.
Nearly all of Asylum's bosses (except for Killer Croc and Poison Ivy) are just rehashes of the Bane fight from early on in the game including the final boss, whereas every single boss in the other games feels different from the rest in some way. Come to think of it, I can't recall a single boss in Asylum that utilises stealth in any way unlike every other Arkham game.
While sure, fighting Deathstroke in Arkham Origins shares some similarities to the Ra's Al Guhl fight from Arkham City, mainly their jump attacks requiring you to mash the counter button that both bosses share, the two bosses outside of that feel completely different when compared to each other and both are good for their own reasons.
Even when Origins had you fight Bane twice, the second encounter at the end of the game felt so drastically different it felt like its own thing and plays unlike any other in the series. The only bad boss in Origins was the Electrocutioner who goes down with a single button press, but that I always thought of more as an intentional joke played off for laughs than it was trying to be a proper boss fight.
the grapple gets upgraded but that’s it.
all the games feels slower compared to knight though so that’s kind of a weird complaint
unlucky for you then.
The story sure is the highlight of Origins. It's cinematic with good acting, many "Year One" and "Killing Joke" vibes. Also don't forget about the "Cold Cold Heart" expansion which is really good.
And it's the perfect game for the Christmas season. There's not better time to play it... ;)
That's the problem with playing the Arkham games out of release order. It's hard to go back from City to Asylum and also from Knight to City/Origins once you get accustomed to the gameplay updates... ;)
And yeah, there are other glitches as well including one where I fell outside of the game map altogether while trying to do a takedown on an enemy, requiring a restart to fix it.

Killer Croc in particular gives this game a bad first impression because of a major glitch where he turns invisible during the fight though this doesn't always happen.

That said, I've played games that were far buggier than this and I've also played more polished games that I enjoyed far less (case in point, Arkham Origins Blackgate).
Yeah, but you can't deny there's a lot of badly designed and/or broken stuff going on with the "Dark Knight System", especially the "Worst Nightmare" path.
Biggest problem is that some of the stuff is missable. Most players do (I mean miss it) in their first playthrough and only notice when they don't have the sonic shock Batarang for challenge maps.
Even then most people will probably need a detailed guide to be able to do it in one playthrough.
Also some of the ranks are bugged (Gotham Protector 15, Shadow Vigilante 15), some can be cheesed through easily, if you know how to (Worst Nightmare 7, Shadow Vigilante 15)...
And even on top of all that nonsense, whenever you advance a rank you really have to make sure the game saved at least twice after doing the rank - because otherwise you might return to the game next time and find out your hard earned rank actually did not save properly and is gone again, and now you're beyond the point where it can be done. So without a backup - it's back to square 1...
I can understand people who never bothered to play anything but the story saying this is the greatest Arkham game ever - but once you've navigated successfully through all that sh..t - then maybe your goodwill towards the game may lower a little bit... ;)
