I found doing a clean install of Windows 10 did the trick for alot of games .. otherwise checking the game cache worked sometimes ..

Reinstalling redistributables is the best fix, I've found. Those are the pieces of Windows that usually don't make it across.

I don't have any trouble playing on windows 10.
Make sure you have all your drivers up to date, including your graphic card.

I wanted to add some guidance that may help. I have had the same issue with Windows 10, and investigating the .ini files, noted one file who's Date Modified date continues to change on each launch. The file contains engine initialization parameters and when deleted, a new one is generated. Good news is, this fixed my issues with Windows 10, though in testing I had to do it each time before starting the game:

Go to Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Batman Arkham Origins\SinglePlayer\BMGame\Config and look for BmEngine.ini. Delete this file or rename it (e.g. BmEngineOLD.ini). Launch Origins and this should fix your issues.

As a bonus, if interested, right click the game in your library and click Properties. Under Launch options, add -nostartupmovies to get rid of all of the startup videos.

Best,
C

"SET PHYSX TO NORMAL" i had the same problem too. everytime i ran the game on phys x high it crashes right on the splash screen.

So I just buy the game and I had 4 crashes only in 15 minutes. ¿Any option to disable to avoid this issue?
W8 compatibility mode doesn´t solve the problem

Yes, it's working on windows 10. At least for me. If you do not work, then try to get set compatibility mode to Windows 7/8. If somewhere there are mistakes , then I apologize in advance for my English .

I also get the occasional stutter thanks to streaming, namely when I first load the game... other than that, I get a perfect 30 when flying and a perfect 60 in combat. It's not nearly as bad as Shadow of Mordor, of course, but that's what I get for pushing Ultra settings on a 3GB R9 280.
