Frustrated with Deathstroke fight...

I wanna give up on this game after only 6% completion cause of that damn Deathstroke bossfight. How many times must I retry and retry, give up, go online for tips, retry again, give up again, watch youtube for ideas, re-try again before finally giving up, cursing and swearing out loud that I'll never play this game again? I don't see why I should have to break my mouse and keyboard trying to defeat this f**ker. I abandonned Arkham City for the same reasons. At least though, that Joker boss fight was two thirds of the way into the game and I got to play a decent chunk of the game before hitting that particular wall! Endless repetition of the same scene with the same outcome is definitly not entertaining and so not fun. I have followed tips saying only to counter his attacks and only land a few blows here and there after each counter, but he always ends up getting enough whacks in to kill me anyway. The furthest I got is when Batman managed to grab his stick and break it. Then the guy pulled out a sword and I was dead soon after. I haven't got that far since. This could go on for days - that's if I don't just abandon it, which I'm thinking of doing. Talk about a pace killer.


Update: Finally. I got him first time after replaying on easy setting! He's a piece of cake on easy!

Maybe, but special upgrades are harder to obtain (getting Sonic Shock Batarang is a nightmare) because you need to do side missions or challenges so overall it's way harder to get full gear than in previous games.

My thinking is that if Nalydyenlo didn't play the previous games, then maybe they are not accustomed to fighting yet with huge combos including stuns and beatdowns, and not utilising much gadget variability. I thought it was particularly interesting that they had managed to finally beat the first behaviours of Deathstroke, only to repeatedly meet instant death when he pulled his gun out. The moment any enemy pulls out a gun, any seasoned Batman player would be using evades and stuns - or if the boss too far away (as in this case) - grappling the gun out of their hands. A quick Google reveals so many first time Batman players having problems with this boss that I'm wondering if they threw newcomers in too deep too quickly.

Arkham Origins is the hardest of all the previous games, I have to admit myself the first time I faced deathsroke I did die once

from Deathstroke the a.. to kick is easy block any atack from him right mouse button after he jump away from you press on the Keyboard button 2 and give him a hard hit after he is fall on his back start again to block the atacks from him and do the same again block and press button 2 on your Keyboard after a bit throw he a barrel of you press than the right mouse button to catch the barrel and throw the barrel Deathstroke on the head he should be have to this time only 50% from his life after that start you again to block and use the button 2 on your Keyboard and you will be suprise how fast you him down have.

Yes, did it on normal difficulty on new game plus mode. I will be honest that I did do a few restarts to get it but I was chasing that achievement that day and wanted to get it before my mate. He sold his copy (consolite) and never did get the achievement. I'm gutted because I can't delete the achievement and start it again. :(

Yes, both of them, but I never did finish either. I can't remember why I never finished Asylum but I never finished City cause of the Joker boss fight. I quickly got bored of trying to get past this point without success and stopped playing. Its turning out like that with Origins and Deathstroke for me - only more annoying cause it's only 6% into the game. I can't understand how so many guys here say they just breezed through this fight. I've watched countless youtube videos but I can never get to that last beatdown! Makes it all the more frustrating when people say it's easy.

Another thing about this game that makes me crazy is the upgrade screen. Is it me, or is this screen totally baffling and annoying? When you hit tab to upgrade, how the hell are you supposed to find whatever it is you're supposed to be upgrading? It's totally not straightforward like it was in the previous games, and even then it was a slightly tedious chore that took you away from the gameplay. Now it's just a big screen of tiles that's hard to navigate around and that gets obscured by text.

I'm gonna replay this game on EASY to see if it'll help me get around Deathstroke.

I hated this fight. Took me maybe an hour to beat him, but I finally managed it by prolific use of the batclaw. I would wait until he started to attack or was talking and I'd interrupt with a batclaw grapple and a closeline under his chin and slam to the ground, then follow it up with a quick kick and evasive roll away. This combined with a few jabs any time I knew I had an opening. When it got to the katana, I almost exclusively used the batclaw. I'd use it two or three times in a row when I got the "counter" indicator then I'd counter a couple times so he didn't start to expect the claw. Try to defend as much as possible, batclaw slam and quick ♥♥♥♥♥ slap then roll away, and don't try to get too many hits in at one time. If you can defend most of your life meter until you get to the katana portion and vary between countering and batclawing him hopefully you'll squeak by like I did. Good luck.

I used the batcape a lot, I really had no troubles with it on hard or normal. beat down, special takedown, batclaw too.

I agree. Couldn't counter fast enough and got hit to many times and been finished with the katana multi hits. Now, I look to myself and say: "How could you be so stupid and slow ?!".

Its really not difficult, beat him on my first try on new game plus without the counter icons, your batman skills are weak and your a fool.
