Texmod not working?
Is anybody else unable to run Texmod? It was working fine before, now it's not. I've done the d3d11=false thing, turned off my Antivirus - I don't know what the heck is going on here

Any PC or Steam changes, such as verify files, upgrade to Windows 10, change to higher resolution? Some of these TexMods will only function within a specific resolution range.

mine is set to 1920x1080. i tried changing res to 1366x768, as it was on my other pc and still no dice. im running win7 64-bit. i have my steam installed to c:/steam. maybe change steam installation to program files (x86) folder?

On my previous PC I had Steam in the Program Files folder. If you're running 64, then keep it in the 64 folder. Did you install any NVidia drivers for games newer than Origins or Knight? You might have to roll your driver back.

Alright, ill try switching installation site and see what happens.

Not sure that's the issue but worth a try. Also, make sure all your redistributables are up-to-date.

mine wont work properly too (turned d3d11 to false, unblocked texmod in properties, placed texmod in win32 folder of the game and renamed texmod to "BatmanOrigins"). it works fine with the environment (bat signal, billboards etc.) but not with batman. it just incorectly loads the mod (texture on the chest is there but not on the rest of the body and color over the whole bat suit is still its default). i hope someone could help us

got it working, i did the d3d11 to false, but I had to add in sweetfx and it finally works. Might I suggest pinning this as a possible solution, if this works for other folks?

I don't know what happened in you case, but it works for me. I see with SweetFX you are forcing DX9 in some way, but maybe it didn't work before because you were editing the wrong file?

It should be this one:
"...\Steam\SteamApps\common\Batman Arkham Origins\SinglePlayer\BMGame\Config\BmEngine.ini"

And the line to change is:
AllowD3D11=True to AllowD3D11=False

I usually use TexMod with all the games this way: I create a direct access (LNK file) for the main EXE of the game in TexMod's folder, select that direct access in TexMod GUI and then select the TPF files I want. Then start the game using "Run". No issues here.

Try downloading TexMod again. Yours and the OP's might have corrupted over time.

nothings working for me either. did everything right and still nothing.

@plantmommy, when you renamed your TexMod to BatmanOrigins.exe, did you rename the original BatmanOrigins.exe like you were supposed to before moving the TexMod into the Binaries \ Win32 folder? If so, are you clicking on the TexMod file or the original .exe?

What do I rename them then?

1. Locate BatmanOrigins.exe in Win32 folder: Steam \ steamapps \ common \ Batman Arkham Origins \ SinglePlayer \ Binaries \ Win32 \ BatmanOrigins.exe
2. Rename BatmanOrigins.exe to BatmanOriginsOriginal.exe
3. Rename TexMod to BatmanOrigins.exe, place with BatmanOriginsOriginal.exe in Win32 folder.
4. Start the game via the Steam client. When the TexMod window loads, click the folder icon in Target Application, select BatmanOriginsOriginal.exe and click "Open." BatmanOriginsOriginal.exe now displays as your Target Application.
5. Click Package Mode, then the small center folder icon to Browse your computer's folders for your .tpf files. Those selected files will now display in the Package Name text field. Click "Run."
6. When the game's splash screen displays just before launching, close the TexMod window.
