If the sounds strange I can only encourage you to find a dealer with a demo VR headset and check it.
It the most awesome gaming experience. Of course there are bad games.
But titles like Halflife Alyx, Into the radius, Asgard's wrath 2 are Awesome. There are lot of other titles in other categories which are also great to play. Even older ported games are not only getting new life. It new life on steroids.
Exactly. There are so many games (especially for those new to VR) to have fun with, and headsets are now super cheap (quest 2 + decent PC is more than enough for beginners). The "too expensive" excuse is not valid anymore.
I think when Alyx came out I still had the 1080ti (and the Rift S) and it was amazing. Definitely don't need much $$$$ anymore to jump into VR.
I was writing in another thread that if PC had more VR users, developers would notice at some point a good bump in PCVR sales, which would (hopefully) mean better dedicated PCVR versions...and not sloppy standalone VR ports (Metro Awakening has terrible texture res and very basic illumination).
Well, no. It is still totally valid - and always will be. This is free economy. I can spend (or don't spend) money on whatever I see fit. Sue me... ;)
Fine but then don't complain if you don't get what you are wanting for free.
