Is it good?

My favourite batman game is probably Asylum (City's open world is boring for me). So is this game like city? Does it at least have a good story?

What did you enjoy most about Asylum? Origins is more similar to City and it has a great story, imo the best in the series.

Story wise it was better than Arkham city and the location was pretty interesting too. Don't know, I was more invested into it, despite the fact that i've played city first couple years ago. i might get origins it's pretty damh cheap and hopefully it can fill the void that City left me with...

it’s the best game in the series

it’s the game closest to arkham knights gameplay without the batmobile & this game has the best boss fights , story , characterization, and actual cutscenes. the only legitimate flaw i can give this game is the open world can be bland but it’s not a deal breaker.

Arguable. I say it's the worst story in the series.
Elaborating: crime lords and Batman already successfully exist and operate within the city, and yet they DON'T KNOW about existence of each another. Even police has only rumours about the guy dressed up like a bat.

go watch a movie then, you're complaining about a superhero action video game dropping you straight into the action. better yet , go play the new spiderman games that have a bunch interactive movie walking and talking with occasional mundane button prompts to do simple ♥♥♥♥

By the way, Batman series is exactly that kind of game - with button promts to do simple things. :)

Origin is alright. I've completed all Batman series games, so eligible to compare.
I repeat myself - story isn't great. Subject to argue ;)

The combat though is amazing and has great boss fights, more melee and combo based, rather than gadget and tricks/takedowns.
Very short overall, but has activities in the city (which uses the same assets i.e. buildings, bridges from AC) like riots, crime scenes.

I'd say it's worth its money on sale, definitely. Grab Cold DLC too, need it for 100%.

It is a good Christmas themed batman game that you'll have your fun in. It was my first Batman game I played other than the Nintendo 64 Batman game I barely remember from my very young years.

i played it a bit and i have to say that it started better than arkham city and i really liked the snowy Gotham

Honestly I got the main trilogy and the knight season pass for 9 which is a pretty good deal. Origins for 5$ isn't exactly great, considering it's just the campaign. It is quite shorter compared to the others. It is quite fun though when you actually have stuff to do in the city, albeit some technical issues.

If you found city boring, you will find this boring once the campaign and side missions are done. Even collecting riddler's stuff won't be interesting.

i bought a key with the dlc for much cheaper. so it was a good deal.

All i care about is for a good story i'm not a maniac on side mission stuff might do some but its not my main focus on Arkham games.
