Why does Killer Croc look so different?
I have previously beaten Arkham Asylum and Arkham City on consoles back in the day. So I bought them all on PC last year and played through Asylum, which is one of the best games ever.

But instead of moving on to City again, I thought I would play Origins as I had never played that on consoles.

Anyway, first thing I notice is that Killer Croc looks way different than he did in Arkham Asylum. Why did they redesign his character model?

Amazing game so far, though. Can't understand the bad rap. Batman is so much more badass than ever before (haven't played Arkham Knight).

Well, I guess the same question applies to Bane as well now I've seen the "Assassins" video.

If you are wondering why he looks different in Origins than he did in Arkham Knight, in the mission on the crashed prison ship in Arkham Knight Nightwing joins you, it is a DLC and when Batman sees Killer Croc in there he speaks and mentions how he has mutated, increased in size, and had the new huge tail, obviously those are the features changed from the Origins Croc to the Knight Croc, and when complete the mission you discover that Croc had been expiremented on and tortured and that is what cause some of his mutations, he has also betweeen this PREQUEL to Arkham Knight much time has passed, and if you are familiar with the DC Comics storylines or lore, Killer Croc has been mutated by different variants and mixtures of Bane's Venom and other Metagene Mutating Toxins, and his look changed very often. That being said, its safe to assume from the Origin time, to the end of Arkham Knight Crocc was out there doing the same things as in the comics and he would deffinitely look different if so.

Hope this helped answer your Query

He means in comparison to Arkham Asylum but you're correct anyway.

Ah my B, I just noticed at the end of his post in obvious () lol but yes, I always expect a different Killer Crocc everytime I see him in anything, he is always changing, he looks good thus far in "Suicide Squad" let's hope ole Waylon Jones can survive the mission and get his mutation on in between films hahahaha...

I know this isn't related to the topic, but does anybody here have the game? If anybody could gift me it, that would be so amazing :)

Because his condition is still during his early stages of mutation.

as i said above, everyone knows that in all versions and media Waylon Jones is constantly changing and mutating.. it would be boring ot see the same old version, with new technology to make a better crocc anyways... and Rocksteady did make Origins... just a different office in Canada my friend.. everything had to be passed thru WB and DC to be ok'ed anyways..

I apologixe, I stand corrected... I mustve never payed attention to the loading screens and asumed it said Rocksteady... my bad, sorry bout that.. and to this I just finished it again last week for the first time since like a week after it came out.... lol...

I don't think it matters that Rocksteady didn't develop it. WB Montreal knew it was part of a series, hence they kept everything the same. After having heard that Killer Croc is early in his mutation, I will accept that as the reason for the difference.

They did more than just give "some" input. they provided the existing engine tech and base assets as well as provided technical support and functioned as a creative advisor.

Asylum, City, and Knight is made by Rocksteady. And this game is made by Warner Bros. So...that might explain why.
