Stuck/Bugged @ Mad Hatter Sidequest

During the Mad Hatter quest, there's a part where you blow up a wall and then pull yourself across a river on a floating flower/lilypad thing. The only thing to do is use the Batclaw to connect to the spoons in the river & pull yourself across. But for me it never stops flashing "Push (LShift)" to make him pull.

I've tried reloading the checkpoint, killing myelf on the electric floor, positioning myself in different spots on the lilypad, smashing (LShift) or tapping it slowly...nothing has worked. He fires the Batclaw, it works to the spoon, fire again to pull to the other side/end of the river and then nothing. He won't get off the lilypad.


There's no way to quit out of this quest AFAIK, so my game/save is effectively ruined unless someone has a tip to get out of it? Thanks :(

Search before posting, this is not a bug, and the "cancel feature" is well documented across all 4 Arkham games. Stop pulling and release the BatClaw.

I did search, I read multiple threads but never saw an answer. Pressing LCtrl does nothing, I did also make sure to reset keybindings to default.

It does work on keyboard. If it's not reading properly, then maybe your game res is too high. Try reducing in-game screen resolution slightly from maximum from inside the game's Options > Graphic Options menu for better object and proximity registration before restarting and retrying that section.

Also try the other cancel features. Try Right Control or tap Caps Lock (sustained crouch).

I verified the local files, it downloaded 2 of them @ like 133kb and then LCtrl cancel worked. TY so much

Been on Steam long enough to "verify local files" as one of the first things out of habit, but just forgot this time. Thanks for the help though, seems like lot of ppl coming back to this game for some reason (sale?) so know that it is appreciated.
