[SOLVED]Combat is still janky, is there a way to fix it?
I say "broken" but it's more like just little inconsistencies for the most part (compared to Asylum and City) except for the Blade Dodge combat move (and the Takedown version).

I've tried different resolutions (1920x1080, 2560x1440, 3840x2160) and capping the framerate at 60fps. No luck.

There are a lot of times where Batman just flails about in the middle of a combat sequence and just misses too much. The enemy will be standing right there in front of Batman, just a foot away, but he will punch air and not hit anything. And then there are times when he will travel a few dozen feet to connect with something. It's just not consistent.

Anyone have any other suggestions to try?

I still love this game, it just isn't quite on the par with Asylum and the best (City) in the series to me. It could be a lot better if the combat wonkiness didn't fight me every step of the way. It's over half the fights, closer to two-thirds, that just have this "broken" quality to them. It doesn't keep me from moving through the game's progress, it's just annoying as hell.

don't expect the combat to be as smooth as the others... bugs aside they made this version of Batman, whose early on in his "career", a more rugged less refined character by design...:-) :arkham:

Nah, can't be it. I mean, right in the middle of a long freeflow spinning in the air... just plop, to the ground, standing there and the animation "breaks".

I finally got the blade doge thing done by going into the combat simulator and just doing it over and over and over until it pinged. There were plenty of times I would counter-counter-counter and the game wouldn't indicate it completed. It's just bugged.

But, it's not a big deal honestly. Just wanted to know if there was a way to refine it any.

this is your problem... you want the combat to be the same as the others... it's not even the same development team...:-)

It could be the same as Super Smash Bros for all I care. Just would be happy it worked predictably.

But hey, I made it thru the game for the 3rd time and got Worst Nightmare finished in record time...with several challenge maps with triple-gold ranking, and some of the highest combo multipliers I've ever gotten, without even really trying hard at it..

So, like I said, it's more just "touchy" than 'broken.

Thanks for the "help"!!! :-)
