Question about fighting the martial artist.
I can handle all of the moves the martial artist does...except one. He has this move where he randomly shoves you away and it breaks your combo. I don't know what makes him do it or how to counter it. I've tried attacking him different ways and he does it usually as soon as I try to hit him. I've even tried using my cape first and then beating him up, but he'll randomly shove me away while I'm in the middle of hitting a combo on him. What do? :riddle:

When he shoves you, don't press anything or else you lose your combo-streak, then when he goes to kick you, perform counter. It takes a bit of practice to not counter or hit him when he's shoving you cos you instinctively want to press a button, but if you wait until he's done the shoving and going into the kick, you'll counter it and keep the combo going.

They're programmed to break beatdowns and combos. Best thing is to time other enemies so when the MA attacks you can perform the multi-counters you learned in the Combat Training maps without dropping your combo. Do that map if you haven't already; getting all 3 stars is good practice for fighting multiple MAs.

However, if I just want to get on with the story I get rid of them the easy way at ground level by building up a 5x combo, either striking them from behind or deploying Exposive Gel, and then performing a Special Combo Multi Ground Takedown (what a mouthful). If I'm attacking from above as in the first GCPD sewer room I'll take out the first one with a Glide Kick attack and a Ground Takedown, then either Multi Ground the second one or save him until last for an Ultra-Stun and Ground Takedown. The MA below the GCPD sewer server I'll drop with Glide Kick and Ground Takedown before mopping up the lower rabble, and the last two MAs in the upper server room I'll either use multi-counters, Multi Ground Takedowns or individual Ground Takedowns.

It's whether they'll attack you 2x counter or counter+counter+counter (3 times in a row, not always though)
