[Edited for clarity] The Deadshot mission is the only predator room that allows leaving between Worst Nightmare Ranks 09 and 10.
Yes, I've used Concussion Detonators on Deadshot; it stuns him temporarily. After I drop the first five thugs I wait until he paces the middle catwalk and perform both a Quick Takedown and Ledge Takedown on him to get him to the lower floor so I can use variations of vents, grates, window glass, explosive walls and Reverse Takedowns on him when he patrols various areas between the last three thug waves. In future playthroughs you can get all Worst Nightmare tasks done through Rank 11 before even entering the Royal Hotel by doubling up on predator tasks in certain rooms. If you need to repeat any particular predator scenario, make a backup of your save just before or immediately upon entering a predator room.
If you want an easy Rank 10 you can get it at the Final Offer foredeck using the freeroam-to-predator room exploit that I discovered. Starting with the sniper in the crow's nest, take out everyone on the foredeck quietly except for the last 2 thugs at the entrance door. Now this next part requires timing: while standing on the catwalk use either the Remote Claw or Multi-Batarangs to stun them simultaneously and quickly swoop down and do Ground Takedowns and immediately bolt through the entrance BEFORE the tally points add up. That way you'll already be inside the door when the parameter changes from exterior to interior, freeroam to predator room. The Smoke Pellet and Quick Takedowns work here, too.
And Voila!! You now have Rank 10 and the Sonic Shock Batarang unlocked. Also works for an early Rank 3 so by leaving the ship briefly I can get the Jezebel Fall case file and WN Ranks 04 and 05 done way before the Final Offer Theatre predator room and not worry about Rank 06 until the first Bank incursion.
If the above doesn't work the first time, jet to the BatCave and then return to the Final Offer foredeck. All thugs including the sniper will have respawned. Give the ship a try, I'd be curious what you make of that procedure.
I can usually manage to get both the door guys with silent takedowns, you just have to be careful you don't move forward after you grab the first guy.
I've done about 6 goes in the bank and as I start to get a little impatient, I get seen and blow it!

The thugs on the other hand can both spot and shoot you, so in some ways they're worse than Deadshot. Watch Deadshot for a while; his traffic pattern becomes fairly predictable.
Yeah, that was the problem I was having, it wasn't Deadshot, it was the thugs, turning round just before I get the takedown in!
I then did Rank 11 on Free-Roam, went back to the Bank, got 12 to come up, but failed it at the last minute, when for some reason I couldn't get the takedown on Deadshot to work! The hostage was killed and so was my Rank 12.
Did you backup your saves? I still do, just case of mishap or if I want to do a room differently.
There's two drawbacks to that: first you'll have to wait for the Sonic Batarang to recharge; and second during the fourth final thug wave deploying the Sonic Batarang will annoy Deadshot and he'll shoot the hostage. I accidentally found that out the hard way during an IATN playthrough, but thankfully I backed up my save. :-)
However, you can use the Sonic Shock Batarang on the Jammer thug in the final round, but it has to be a direct hit. That's why I do Rank 09 at the Bank and then leave without assaulting Deadshot to unlock Rank 10 at the Final Offer. That way I have the Sonic Shock Batarang in my inventory to finish the Deadshot bank mission with more tactical options available.
WRONG (at least for me). I went back in and the whole encounter had reset to the start. What a waste! Anyway, since I didn't need to be unseen for this one, I went on a bit of a rampage then, took a few hits, got through the first 2 waves, then beating up Deadshot, just happened to be near the front door, and lo and behold, we both went out the front door, into the last wave of thugs, they all start shooting, I had to run back inside, grapple away, only two notches left on my health.
So I then went back out onto the roof, went and took down 2 thugs on a nearby rooftop, then I get an apex predator encounter, high threat, heaps of thugs down..... but no Rank 12. So I still have to do it again. Unfortunately, it's pretty hot here, so as I'm overheating now, I have to leave it again...
You can leave the Bank during the Deadshot mission only between Worst Nightmare Ranks 09 and 10 after completing all requirements for Rank 09, provided you haven't attacked Deadshot. Exiting during a single encounter won't work if Deadshot's been already been accosted. At that point you're locked in the room. I'll have to update that in my guide for clarity.
[EDIT] Provided you've completed Rank 03 for the Sonic Batarang, you can leave the Bank during the Deadshot mission only after the following:
1. Between WN Ranks 04 and 05 if you haven't assaulted Deadshot during Rank 04.
2. After completing all four takedown requirements for Rank 06 if you haven't assaulted Deadshot.
3. Between WN Ranks 09 and 10 if you haven't assaulted Deadshot during Rank 09.
I'm looking to complete WN13 before taking the elevator in the Royal Hotel (I picked up the shock gloves already), as you suggested in one of your guides. I imagine it will make the Hotel encounters and Bane a little easier to get through.
Remember, if you get the Shock Gloves at the Hotel do NOT activate the service lift until after completing Ranks 12 and 13, otherwise it puts the remaining tasks into the Blackgate incursion. I know you read this in the guide, that last note was for everyone else.
They completed WN 03 and the Sonic Batarang was equipped, so WN 04 and 05 combined at the GCPD rooftop was easy. Then I noticed the Deadshot mission at the Bank wasn't even started. "Awesome, my favorite testing room" I thought to myself. I got the WN Rank 06 medal for the four prerequisite takedowns on the goons and then left the room without assaulting Deadshot himself. Here's where I ran into a problem.
They completed all but the last two Case Files, so getting WN 07 (finish predator scenario without doing predator takedowns) was going to be impossible in freeroam without any other open main mission parameters such as the Sionis Steel Mill rescue mission or the Coventry Fire Case File. I tried it at the Final Offer foredeck using the freeroam-to-predator room exploit, to no avail. And WN 07 doesn't work at the Bank because the final takedown on Deadshot is a quick predator takedown. Then a thought occurred to me: what if I tried it in freeroam although I was technically still in a predator room?
When I perform the F1 Teleport for glitched players I have to extract them to openworld to rescue them, then set a new checkpoint for them in the Batcave to override any previous environmental room behaviors before reinserting them into the game. In other words since they came directly from an interior, even though now outdoors they still exhibit interior behaviors, i.e. Batman perching predator-style on outdoor gargoyles instead of speed-grappling off them.
So, in order to get WN 07 freeroam with no existing predator mission parameters I returned to the Bank and walked into the predator room, then F1 teleported to openworld. I glided -- didn't want to chance on Fast Travel accidentally resetting room behaviors even outdoors -- to the Final Offer foredeck and beat the snot out of everyone, tricking the game into thinking I was still in a predator room. But just to be certain I dropped the last thug at the door, then entered before the tally points add up as per usual with performing WN Ranks 03 and 10 using the freeroam-to-predator room exploit listed above.
And Voila!! I got Rank 07 inside the Final Offer but this is where things get goofy. Since I "technically" wasn't outdoors when I entered the ship I "fell" through the foyer and heard a splash as I hit the water, even though I was standing firmly on the planks inside. As I moved inside the entry foyer I could see puddle and bubble animations as I walked around. Sorry I didn't think to take a screenshot of that. As I exited the ship the game crashed, probably from teleporting out of one interior environment and entering another without a proper normal outdoor interim -- or perhaps it got annoyed that I constantly test it's limitations. When I restarted the game I still kept credit for Rank 07. [EDIT] Screenshots uploaded.
Trying to get Rank 08 the same way hasn't worked and resulted in another crash. I'll just get Rank 08 in NG+, finish 09-10 with Deadshot in firstrun, get Rank 11 freeroam and do 12 in NG+, 13 in firstrun, then finish 14-15 in NG+. That's another great thing about the game is that you can alternate between play levels (firstrun, NG+, IATN) to complete the Dark Knight tasks. You don't have to do everything in one play level if you have open opportunities to backtrack to an unfinished task in a previous play level.
Enough discovery, that was a ridiculously long observation :-)
After I finished WN12 with Deadshot, I went to the Final Offer and got WN13 (I'd already completed Black Mask at the Church, before going to the bank), I thought I'd finish off the Cyrus Pinkney Plaques (lots of XP as you know), but somehow between using detective vision and fighting at Jezebel theater, ALL my pinkney plaques have disappeared. Yes, every single one.
I go to every location and there is no plaque, detective vision doesn't show them, I can't scan them by standing in the location, nothing. If I go to another save game, they are there, so it seems to be something in my game save. There's always something new, eh!
Returning to the Bat Cave does -not- respawn the gunmen on deck. The only way to try again is by backing up your save file. Thanks anyway though, at least this got me very proficient at this encounter lol.
