Forced Suicide on two endless runs because of this
What Mortality did you get to? Anything else you can tell me about your run?
Hell I'm still in it, I stepped away from my computer because it was taking forever but I still want to see how far I can get. I've paused the run so I can give you any information you want. I'll check this thread from time to time, let me know what I can give.
Here's a screenshot with some info. First time linking one in a steam discussion, so let me know if you can't see it.

Have you tried enabling lowspec mode and late game instant XP in the settings?
I tried low spec mode but actually didn't see the late game instant XP setting! That should fix it, it's definitely tied to XP far as my untrained eye can see. The game practically freezes once a magnet effect occurs haha.
Thanks for the help, and love the game!
No problem! Did that help with your game?
But i think the exp still cause some minor performance issue but not as much as it used to. At high mortality i think the high horde count, all the weapons effect (explosion, status and so on) start to ramp up and add up to the exp performance issue.
It was worse before the exp change for me, i used to have fps drop early into overdrive (not even after 2nd boss) but now the game run without hitch up until high mortalit. At least i can safely go to 80 mortality before slowdown on default difficulty, i need to test on overdrive 5.
After the change to exp, i tried another high mortality run for the daily and i reached roughly 80 mortatility before it start to severly slow down and 85+ being just very slow (i pmuch just afked till 93 and called it there xD). At this point i think i was bouncing between 800 to 1.5k entities active but even with all the low spec option i could pick/disable at that point it was running internally at 8 to 12 fps or something.
Hi, I finally tried another long run and can report back saying it 100% helps. Instant XP does wonders.
I'm at 75 mortality and still going while averaging 45 FPS still without any massive slow down that occurred and lasted for some time when I gathered EXP.
