Is there a trick to finding secret rooms?

For example in "the binding of isaac" secret rooms are often accessible by 3 other rooms which can help. So is there a trick in Tiny rogues to find them?

There'll be an "X" mark on the floor next to a wall; they're very easy to see. You need to bomb them to reveal the room.

I kinda wish that the pirate eyepatch made them SIGNIFICANTLY more visible but as is the effect is still understated enough that you could still miss it if you weren't looking. So it's kind of unhelpful if you already know what to look for.
